Rodrigo Garro, Corinthians' Argentine midfielder, is not in Flamengo's plans for the transfer window leading up to the Club World Cup. At Corinthians since 2024, Garro is still recovering from an injury and has not made his debut in the Brazilian Championship this season. With 73 appearances, 14 goals and 16 assists registered with the Timão shirt, the midfielder is considered an important part of the black and white squad. The São Paulo board is not considering negotiating the player with another national club, nor abroad at the moment.
So far, only one signing is on track for the second half of the year: Italian midfielder Jorginho, who was at Arsenal, is expected to join the club at no cost . The contract will be for approximately two years . With this, the club seeks to maintain financial balance and does not plan to make large investments in this transfer window.
In addition to Jorginho, other names have been under consideration by the board led by José Boto. Officially presented this Monday with the number 15 shirt, Jorge Carrascal arrived at Flamengo with the mission of strengthening the creative sector, occupying a role in which Arrascaeta has been a reference since 2019. Although he has not yet debuted with the Manto Sagrado, the Colombian midfielder stated that playing for the Rio de Janeiro club represents an important milestone in his professional career.
"The truth is, I came to Flamengo with a purpose: to work, compete, and achieve the best for the club. The short-term goal is to play and earn matches. I'll work hard, focus on the clear objective, and the lineup will depend on the coach," the player declared.
During the interview, Carrascal made a point of praising the club's structure and the Mais Querido's representation in the South American scene. According to him, the decision to wear the red-and-black jersey was made with conviction.
