Lucas Paquetá responds to Flamengo's interest and decides on his future in Europe

Champion of the Copa São Paulo with Flamengo in 2011, former defender Frauches, now retired from the field, the former -Mengão spoke about his love for Rubro-Negro. Frauches was at Neo Química Arenato follow Mengão's classification for the final of the Copa do Brasil and shared an emotional video on social media. In his words, he opened his heart about this passion.
“I have three friends who always go, see the titles, the tears and always share them with me. Now that my daughter is big, I'm enjoying it. It's very good, I take the opportunity to get out what I couldn't do inside. Being Flamengo is very good”, said Frauches in an interview with the portal 'Mundo Rubro-Negro'.
Frauches was part of the professional cast of Flamengo from 2012 to 2015, but hadfew opportunities. During this period, the club won the Copa do Brasil in 2013 and the Campeonato Carioca in 2014. The former defender worked with coaches such as Joel Santana, Dorival Júnior, Jorginho, Mano Menezes, Jayme de Almeida, Ney Franco, Vanderlei Luxemburgo, Cristóvão Borges and Oswaldo de Oliveira, but he has a special affection for Dorival.
“It's the best feeling in the world to play for Flamengo, it's priceless. I didn't have a peak, especially because I never received many chances. I played a few games in a row with Dorival Júnior, but soon after he left. Even so, I feel privileged to have helped even 1%”, said the former defender.
Frauches attributes the pressure for results as the reason why he had few chances at Flamengo. In total, he played 27 times for the club, with 16 wins, six draws and five defeats. His last match for Rubro-Negro was a 1-0 victory over Chapecoense, on December 6, 2015, in the Brasileirão.
“I caught Flamengo in a phase of ups and downs. I think the moment was not good for some young people. The demand for short-term results sometimes leaves you aside”, he concluded.
After leaving Flamengo, the former defender played for Macaé, Boavista-RJ, as well as the Thai clubs Army United and Siam Navy .

Officially presented this Monday with the number 15 shirt, Jorge Carrascal arrived at Flamengo with the mission of strengthening the creative sector, occupying a role in which Arrascaeta has been a reference since 2019. Although he has not yet debuted with the Manto Sagrado, the Colombian midfielder stated that playing for the Rio de Janeiro club represents an important milestone in his professional career.
"The truth is, I came to Flamengo with a purpose: to work, compete, and achieve the best for the club. The short-term goal is to play and earn matches. I'll work hard, focus on the clear objective, and the lineup will depend on the coach," the player declared.
During the interview, Carrascal made a point of praising the club's structure and the Mais Querido's representation in the South American scene. According to him, the decision to wear the red-and-black jersey was made with conviction.
Carrascal talks about the deal with Flamengo: "For me it's a dream"
"As everyone knows, Flamengo is a very big team. A South American team that means a lot. It's a dream for me to play in Brazil, so I believe I made the best decision for my career," added the athlete, who had been playing for Dynamo Moscow before the transfer.
Despite being physically fit and training with the group, Carrascal is still awaiting official registration with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to make his debut. The player's name must be included in the Daily Information Bulletin (BID) to officially play for the team.

Officially unveiled this Monday wearing the number 15 jersey, Jorge Carrascal arrived at the club with high expectations. Coming from Dynamo Moscow, the Colombian was considered a potential replacement for Arrascaeta , but he refuted the idea of a rivalry with the Uruguayan, a regular starter since 2019. In his first interview, Carrascal emphasized the importance of teamwork.
" It's not about competition, that I will be his replacement , that I will not be his replacement. I came to Flamengo with the purpose of working, of competing, of trying to achieve the best for the club, the clear objectives that it has in the short term this season," the player declared.
Besides rejecting any kind of competition for position, Carrascal praised his teammate's quality. " Arrascaeta has a unique game. He's a great player. We've known Arrascaeta for many years, based on his abilities. He's a different player," he stated.
Carrascal wants to show his versatility at Flamengo: "Position is not a problem"
Demonstrating commitment, the midfielder also highlighted his tactical versatility, showing a willingness to play in different areas of the field, depending on the coach's needs. " I really enjoy moving around the field , I try to make whatever the coach asks of me work. In the middle, on the outside, as a number eight. Position isn't a problem. I'll try to do my best," he added.
Carrascal hasn't played an official match since May 24th, when he left the Russian club. However, the athlete stated that he maintained his physical preparation during the vacation period. Flamengo 's staff also expresses confidence in his athletic condition, which should accelerate his integration into the main squad in upcoming matches.

Flamengo hosts Mirassol on August 9th, at 6:30 pm , at Maracanã, for the 19th round of the Brazilian Championship . The expectation is a full house, and the club has already made available detailed information about ticket sales for the match, which starts this Sunday (4).
Fan club members have early access and exclusive pricing, depending on their plan and star rating. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 6th at 10 a.m. on the club's official platform. Sales at physical locations and in-person pickup of free tickets will begin on the 7th on Flamengo's official website.
Expecting a large crowd at Maracanã, Flamengo is banking on the strength of the nation to remain firmly in the fight for the top spots in the Brasileirão. Mengão leads the championship with 37 points.
