On the night of last Friday (7), Meninas da Gávea faced Grêmio, in the 12th round of the Brasileirão Feminino, and only ended up in a 1-1 draw. Gláucia scored for Mais Querido in the second half, after of having come up behind on the scoreboard.MATCH SUMMARY


Despite playing away from home, Grêmio started the game with intensity. After eight minutes, Tayla got the ball inside the red-black area and finished into the back of the net, opening the scoring for the Gauchos in the Luso-Brasileiro.

Flamengo's swimming team ended its participation in the Brazilian Interclub Winter Championship, held at the Santos Dumont Aquatic Park in Recife, on Saturday (17). After five days of intense competition, the group won a total of 60 medals : 17 gold, 23 silver and 20 bronze. The Mais Querido secured second place in the Junior category and third place overall among the Seniors.


In the Junior 1 category, the club dominated the ranking and finished with the title, scoring 1,320 points , easily beating Minas Tênis Clube, which scored 1,074. The impressive performance was supported by athletes Manuela Astori, Joice Otero, Pedro Henrique Medrado and Artur Mello, who occupied the top four positions in the efficiency index. Together, they contributed significantly to the 42 medals won by the group in the Junior 1, Junior 2 and Junior categories.


GABI ASSIS AND STEPHAN STEVERINK SHINE IN THE CATEGORY


In the Senior category, individual protagonism was given to Gabi Assis and Stephan Steverink . Gabi led the women's technical ranking with three golds and one silver. Stephan won five medals, two silver and three bronze, and received the Efficiency Trophy, confirming his consistency throughout the tournament.

During the championship, the Brazilian Aquatic Sports Confederation (CBDA) released the official call for the Junior Pan American Games in Asunción. Among those selected are three representatives of the Rio de Janeiro club: Joice Otero, Guilherme Kanzler and Stephan Steverink. The selection reinforces the importance of FlaNatação on the national scene and the preparation of its athletes for international challenges.


MENGÃO'S STRENGTH IN THE POOLS

The campaign in Recife consolidated FlaNatação 's position among the sport's powerhouses in the country. The collective performance and individual highlights reinforce the technical work and investment in high performance. With the confirmed presence of names trained in Gávea in the upcoming international commitments, Mengão remains firm as a reference in Brazilian swimming.

Flamengo's gymnastics team did well in Europe ! In their World Cup debut, athletes Júlia Coutinho (15 years old) and Gabriela Bouças (16 years old) left their mark in the competition held in Koper, Slovenia. The event marked the beginning of the gymnasts' international career in the adult scene — and they already had a presence on the podium.


EMPHASIS


The highlight was Júlia, who enchanted the referees and the public with an impeccable performance on the floor . Her top score guaranteed her the gold medal , and the young athlete was overcome with emotion, as she cried when she heard the national anthem at the top of the podium.


“I came from my first World Cup, I won first place on the floor and I am very happy. It was a unique experience, a mix of nervousness and joy” , said Júlia.

DEBUT IN STYLE


Also making her debut in international competitions of this magnitude, Gabriela Bouças demonstrated talent and consistency. She won two bronze medals , in the balance beam and parallel bars events, and celebrated her campaign with enthusiasm.

It was also my first World Cup , and I came third on the balance beam and parallel bar. I am very excited and proud of this result” , said Gabriela.

The results reinforce the excellent work developed at Flamengo with the youth categories and the high performance of artistic gymnastics. At just 15 and 16 years old, Júlia and Gabriela return to Brazil with a wealth of experience , medals and the certainty that the future of Flamengo gymnastics is in good hands.

It was a golden weekend for Flamengo's artistic gymnastics ! At the Troféu Brasil, two young talents from Flamengo shone and achieved a special milestone in their careers: Hellen and Maria Eduarda Montesino are now Brazilian adult champions!


NEW CATEGORY

In her first season in the new category, Maria Eduarda won gold on the balance beam with a confident and personality-filled performance.


"I was very happy with my result on the balance beam, for winning that gold . So, I was really training a lot for this apparatus, it's an apparatus that I like. [...] So that's it, I was very happy and very fulfilled for winning that gold", said Duda, celebrating the achievement.

HELLEN'S OVERCOMING


Hellen put on a show of resilience in the final. After a score below expectations in the qualifying round, she went all out for the final and came away with the gold in her hands — and a smile on her face!

"I am very happy to have participated in this Brazil Trophy . Even more so because I was able to bring this medal home," said Hellen, who continued

[... ] I promised myself that I would go all out for the final. [...] And I am very proud of myself for being able to bring home this medal, because I was very happy", celebrated the gymnast, who dedicated the feat to her mother as a Mother's Day gift. With these victories, the two mark their careers with a title that will forever be remembered: the first national gold as adult gymnasts.
