0Bruno Méndez is in talks with his current club, Corinthians. The team wants to renew the contract with the defender, but, according to information, he would be receiving proposals from Flamengo, Atlético-MG, Grêmio and Internacional. His contract ends in December of this year.
The journalist Samir Carvalho, from UOL, disclosed the information that Méndez would have received a better offer than what Corinthians initially offered. Although no interest has arrived from Europe, the highest contract comes from a Brazilian.
The desire of the São Paulo club is to be able to cover the offer, to finally close with the defender, who has been playing for the team since 2019. Before, he belonged to the Montevideo Wnaderers, from his native country, Uruguay. It cost Corinthians around R$18 million. Timão acquired 70% of the player's economic rights.
Bruno is not a starter for Corinthians, but he often plays, even improvising on the right wing.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.
