Initiative foresees ten trees for every Flamengo goal in the women's and men's Brazilian Championships

This Monday (15), Flamengo planted 540 trees in the Bosque da Barra Municipal Natural Park Conservation Unit. The action is part of Pé de Gol, the club's Social Responsibility initiative, through which ten trees are planted for each Flamengo goal in the men's and women's Brazilian Championships. The 540 trees correspond to Flamengo's goals in the period considered, until July 6, with 26 goals from the men's team and 28 from the women's team.
Pé de Gol is an environmental education project, which seeks to raise awareness new generations about the importance of environmental conservation for a more sustainable future. During the action, the children visited Horto Rizzini and learned about the species planted with local environmental agents. Students from the social projects Formiga Verde and Meninos e Meninas Que Sonham, both from Morro da Formiga, in the North Zone of Rio, were present at the planting, alongside red-black women's football players Laisa and Sorriso and striker Carlinhos, from football male, as well as the mascot Binho, who interacted with everyone.
“It's great to be here in Bosque da Barra with our children from Morro da Formiga. They are enjoying themselves a lot, most of them don't have the opportunity to leave the territory. So, when there are moments like this, it is always a great learning experience for them”, said André Leonardo, representative of the social project Formiga Verde.
Since its creation, three years ago, the project has already planted a total of 2,730 trees, contributing to environmental education, as well as conservation, by highlighting the importance of trees in producing oxygen and generating food for local fauna. The initiative had the collaboration of the Permacultura Lab Institute and the Municipal Department of the Environment.

Essential for child development, breast milk is considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the “golden food”, giving rise to Golden August, a month to encourage breastfeeding. Thus, to reinforce support for the campaign, Flamengo's Social Responsibility department took, last Tuesday (27), water polo athlete Duda Martins, who is 26 weeks pregnant, and the club's mascots to meet the Maria Amélia Buarque de Holanda Municipal Maternity, a reference in humanized care for pregnant women, in the center of Rio.
As part of the activity program, the athlete received guidance on the breastfeeding process and the importance of breast milk in child development and in building bonds together with other pregnant and postpartum women cared for by the maternity ward.
“Flamengo's presence here today is extremely important because all actions aimed at Agosto Dourado aim to support, promote and increasingly encourage breastfeeding. Encouraging breastfeeding on demand, increasing breastfeeding time allows society to understand the real benefit that human milk has for both babies and mothers”, said Carla Navarrete, coordinator of the Nutrition and Dietetics Service at the Maternity Hospital and president of the Unit's Breastfeeding Committee.
“Visiting the Maria Amélia maternity ward was an incredible experience, I could see that the maternity ward is really very intense. I answered questions, learned and prepared myself a little more, and had contact with other pregnant women. Each of us had different doubts and fears, which were fully welcomed by the team that welcomed us. It was a pleasure to be part of Flamengo's social responsibility action”, said athlete Duda Martins.
Production assistant Josiane Portugal, who is also pregnant and undergoes prenatal care at the maternity ward, added. “Today I learned that only breast milk is enough and no other milk is needed for the child to grow up healthy. I loved Flamengo's presence here today. I'm a Flamengo fan, my family is Flamengo fan and I was very happy to know that Flamengo supports breastfeeding”, she praised.
As part of the proposal to humanize motherhood, the athlete received a beautiful pregnancy painting, which allowed you to understand how your baby is positioned inside your belly.

Flamengo is in a presidential election year and, as a result, campaigns have begun to be publicized. Thus, one more person applied for the election: Delair Dumbrosck, who is part of the group "Nação Sem Fronteiras".
In publicizing the campaign, Delair Dumbrosck spoke about his projects and what he thinks about the growth of sports Olympics. Furthermore, the pre-candidate also showed a sustainable solution for building his own stadium. Finally, the candidate spoke about the alternatives to internationalize the club's brand on the world stage.
Delair is an entrepreneur in the market segment real estate. Within Rubro-Negro, the pre-candidate was already president of the club in 2009, when Márcio Braga left the position. Thus, at the head of the management that had Marcos Braz as manager and Adriano Imperador on the team, the candidate for the election won the Brasileirão that year.
CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENCY OF FLAMENGOIn addition to Delair Dumbrosck, Rodrigo Dunshee, Luiz Eduardo Baptista, Maurício Gomes de Mattos, Pedro Paulo, Wallim Vasconcelos and José Carlos Peruano are also competing for the presidency of Flamengo.
The elections will be held on the day December 9, in Gávea. The time for members to vote will be from 8am to 9pm. Thus, during the day, members will choose the candidate who best fits the club's profile to lead the three-year period.

In a match valid for the fourth round of the Carioca Women's Under-20 Championship, Flamengo defeated Serrano 20-0, this Saturday afternoon (14), in Gávea. Ingrid (4), Ana Papel, Maria Peck (2), Cecília, Anna Luiza (3), Alice, Leane (4), Duda Detori, Letícia Pinho (2) and Isabela Nunes scored Mengão's goals.
The game
The match had barely started and Flamengo opened the scoring after just two minutes. Isabela Nunes crossed into the area, Anna Luiza set it up for Ingrid to hit the goalkeeper: 1 to 0.
The red-black team continued to control possession of the ball and scored the second after seven minutes. Ana Papel caught the ball beautifully and hit the angle, with no chance for the goalkeeper: 2-0. Soon after, it was Maria Peck's turn to take a risk from distance and score the third goal of the match after just nine minutes.
The Meninas da Gávea didn't let up and expanded at 12'. Ingrid took advantage of the cross in the area to move the goalkeeper and score the fourth. Six minutes later, Mais Querido scored the fifth with Cecília, with a header: 5 to 0.
After the fifth goal, Cecília asked to leave and gave way to Gaby Bastos. Despite the large advantage on the scoreboard, Mengão went up in search of more. At 29', Ana Papel made a great move and passed the ball for her namesake Anna Luiza to cover: 6 to 0.
Serrano barely gave away the ball and the red-blacks scored the seventh of the match with another great goal from Anna Luiza from outside the area, also through coverage: 7 to 0.
To give final numbers to the first stage, Meninas da Gávea found the net four more times, with Alice, Ingrid (2 ) and Maria Peck. Rubro-Negro went into the break with an 11-0 lead. Highlight for striker Ingrid, who scored four times.
On the way back to the second half, Leane received the ball alone in the area and touched it low into the corner to make it 12-0. At 9', Anna Luiza entered the area alone and hit it into the goalkeeper's right corner: 13 to 0. It was shirt 10's hat-trick in the game.
As Meninas da Gávea didn't slow down and expanded in the 14th minute. Anna Luiza played the ball to Alice, who provided a beautiful light screen for Leane to reach with a cross: 14 to 0. Seven minutes later, Leane again entered the area alone and scored another hat-trick in the match: 15 to 0.
Right-winger Leane came into the match with everything and scored her fourth goal in the 37th minute. After taking off, she dribbled past the goalkeeper and scored the 16th goal. Then, Duda Detori further extends the advantage with a penalty kick: 17 to 0.
In the last minutes, Meninas da Gávea scored three more goals to give final figures to the rout. Letícia Pinho (twice) and Isabela Nunes completed the scoring in the great 20-0 victory.
