In a delayed match of the second round of the Copa Rio, Flamengo women's team beat Botafogo 3-1 on Wednesday morning (2), in Gávea. The goals of the red-black triumph were scored by Vitória Almeida, Valéria Cantuário and Diovanna. With this result, the team reached 11 points in the tournament and remained firm in the search for leadership, with two games less than its direct rivals.
The Gávea Girls started the match by putting pressure on their opponents. Three minutes in, Monalisa served Vitória Almeida , who shot hard and saw the ball go just wide of the post. Shortly after, Monalisa took a chance from outside the area, forcing the black and white goalkeeper to work hard.
Despite dominating, Botafogo also looked for space and created its first opportunity in the 20th minute. However, Rubro-Negro continued to have the upper hand and opened the scoring in the 36th minute. Mariana crossed perfectly for Vitória Almeida to head in firmly and score: 1-0.
In the final minutes of the first half, Botafogo managed to equalize with a goal from Júllia, taking the decision of the match to the second half. Even so, the red-blacks did not give up and returned to the field with an attacking stance.
At 13 minutes into the second half, Valéria Cantuário took advantage of a rebound inside the area and finished with precision into the right corner, putting Mengão back in front on the scoreboard: 2-1.
With full control of the offensive actions, Flamengo women's team didn't take long to increase their lead . In the 31st minute, Diovanna, who had just come on, hit a beautiful shot with her left foot, leaving no chance for the opposing goalkeeper, making it 3-1.
In the final moments of the classic , the Meninas da Gávea managed possession well and secured another triumph in the Copa Rio Feminina. The team remains firm in the fight for the title and still has two games to play in the competition.

Flamengo idol Adriano Imperador stated in an interview that he played more than some of the biggest names in world football. With a career marked by talent, physical strength, and humility , "Didico" continues to be fondly remembered by Flamengo fans.
During an appearance on the show Boteco do Chula, Adriano was asked if he had performed at a higher level than stars like Ronaldo, Romário, Ibrahimovic, Mbappé, Lewandowski, and Gabigol . The former player candidly stated that he considers himself superior to some of them.
In the Emperor's opinion, Kyllian Mbappé, Robert Lewandowski, and Gabigol are behind him . However, according to Adriano himself, Romário, Ibrahimovic , and Ronaldo Fenômeno are in a higher tier.
Adriano's most significant connection with the club came in the 2009 Brazilian Championship . During that campaign, the striker played in 30 of the 38 rounds, scoring 19 goals and contributing four assists. With him on the field, the team recorded 15 wins, seven draws, and eight losses. This victory was decisive not only for the club's recent history, but also for the Emperor's career.
Adriano recalls that title as the greatest moment of his career on the field. In a recent interview with GE, he highlighted the team's unity as a determining factor in winning the trophy: " Theoretically, I was down there, the team wasn't doing well. An unforgettable title for me. The group was very good. We really came together, and that made it possible for us to be champions, for sure ."
