Flamengo no longer wants to do business with Corinthians - says portal

The long "soap opera" involving Flamengo, Corinthians and Hugo Souza irritated the red and black board, who decided not to do any more business with the São Paulo club. Thus, the resolution of the goalkeeper's case will be the last contact between the two parties, with institutional relations between the clubs deteriorating.

According to the portal 'Coluna do Fla', a source linked to Flamengo stated: “These guys don't pay, they play the < b>agreements in the trash.” Dissatisfaction with Corinthians is not limited to the negotiation of Hugo Souza, but also involves unresolved issues related to Matheuzinho and Gabigol, who were even approached by the São Paulo team. Despite the red and black desire, the black and white team continues in search of players from the Mais Querido cast.

Flamengo agreed to loan Hugo Souza to Corinthians with a clause that obliges the São Paulo team to pay R $500,000 if you play the goalkeeper against Rubro-Negro. This payment was made during the Brasileirão matches and the Copa do Brasil match. However, for this Sunday's game (20), the situation generated controversy.

Corinthians intends to buy the goalkeeper for 800 thousand euros (R$ 4.9 million), but faces financial problems. They offered guarantees to Flamengo, which rejected the proposal, as the same "guarantor" was used in the negotiation of Matheuzinho, and Rubro-Negro still faces difficulties in receiving payments.

MATHEUZINHO E GABIGOL

Matheuzinho was sold at the beginning of the year, but Corinthians has not yet paid the third installment of the transaction, of R$8 million, whichdue in August. The full-back was negotiated for a total of R$21 million, but, due to interest, the amount to be received by Flamengo should increase.

In the case of Gabigol, the president of Corinthians, Augusto Melo, tried to sign the striker, while Gabigol praised the Corinthians fans and starred in a controversial episode when he appeared wearing his rival's shirt at a barbecue. These attitudes were seen as unethical by Flamengo's directors.

Corinthians and Flamengo face each other this Sunday (20), at 4pm (Brasília time), at Neo Química Arena, in the return of the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil. As the purchase of Hugo Souza has not yet been finalized, Corinthians will have to pay R$500,000 to play him in the match.
