The club sees the prizes as a form of income in its "cash"
|
0The Flamengo is one step closer to winning a significant prize by advancing in the current competition. If the team manages to advance to the semi-finals, the club will guarantee an amount of R$9.5 million. This amount, without a doubt, represents an important injection of resources into the club's finances, especially at a time when variable revenues, such as competition prizes, play a crucial role in the financial balance of major teams.
This possible prize pool of R$9.5 million, however, is just a part of what is at stake in the final stages of the tournament. If Flamengo manages to reach the final of the competition, even if they don't win the title, runner-up already guarantees a very significant prize. The club that finishes in second place will receive R$ 31.5 million, an amount that far exceeds what would be obtained by qualifying for the semi-finals.
However, the main objective of any team that gets this far in a competition like this is the title, and Flamengo is no different. If Rubro-Negro manages to become champion, the prize rises to an impressive R$73.5 million. This amount makes a big difference in any club's budget, allowing investments in signings, infrastructure improvements and even the reduction of possible debts.
It is worth noting that, in competitions of this level, the prizes are staggered according to with the performance of the teams, and Flamengo, due to its tradition and strength, always enters with the objective of competing for titles. Even amounts such as R$9.5 million, which seem smaller when compared to the figures for the final stages, are significant in the context of a season that demands high investments in players, coaching staff and logistics.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Red-and-black striker is the target of speculation in the transfer market
|
0This Monday (16), rumors emerged involving Bahia's interest in signing Gabigol, striker from Mais Querido. According to the channel Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, Tricolor de Aço would have entered the dispute for Gabigol, who has a contract with Flamengojust until December this year. In addition to Bahia, clubs such as Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Grêmio, Palmeiras and Santos would also be keeping an eye on the player.
Despite the speculation, the Bahia board was quick to deny any ongoing negotiations to count on the shirt 99 from Mengão. According to the club's leadership, there is no intention of repeating an operation similar to that carried out with Everton Ribeiro.
As soon as news of the supposed interest began to circulate, Bahia tried to clarify the situation. In a statement, the club's senior management stated that there are no negotiations to sign Gabigol for next season. The information of possible interest, therefore, was directly denied by Tricolor's directors.
Even so, the attacker remains one of the most targeted names in the transfer market for 2025, as he is in the final stretch of contract with Flamengoand you can now sign a pre-contract with any other team.
With Bahia's denial, Corinthians remains the main favorite to sign Gabigol from next year. The possibility of the red-black striker wearing the Timão shirt gains strength, especially after coach Tite appointed Gabigol as the third option for Mengão's attacking command, behind Pedro and Bruno Henrique.
