The Flamengoadvanced another crucial stage in the process of building its own stadium. After an examination carried out on the Gasometer site, located in the Port Zone of Rio de Janeiro, the value of the area was revised upwards, with an increase of R$7.8 million. This readjustment occurred due to the assessment carried out by technical expertise, which identified that the land was worth more than initially stipulated.

Flamengo's management, committed to the progress of the project, did not hesitate to pay the difference identified by expertise. The club has made full payment of this additional amount, ensuring that there are no further financial obstacles with regards to the acquisition of the land. With the amount duly paid, the next step involves the formal transfer of ownership of the land to Flamengo. The City of Rio de Janeiro, responsible for this stage, must make the transfer official, which will allow the club to advance in the following phases of the stadium project. This transfer is an important milestone, as it assures Flamengo full control over the site where the new stadium will be built, an old dream of fans.

The stadium project in Gasometer is one of the biggest ambitions of the current management of Flamengo, which sees the construction of its own arena as a fundamental step towards consolidating the club among the biggest in world football. The strategic location in the Port Zone is seen as a positive point, both due to the ease of access and the potential for increasing the value of the area with the development of infrastructure in the surrounding area.

Behind the scenes, the payment of this difference of R$ 7.8 million is seen as an important move to ensure the project continues without delays. Flamengo's board has been working to keep the schedule up to date, avoiding surprises that could compromise the start of works. The expectation is that, with official possession of the land, the club can begin the next steps, which include finalizing the architectural project, obtaining licenses and planning the construction.

In the relationship between Gabigol and coach Tite at Flamengo, only the field is capable of speaking. Between the striker and coach, there is practically no dialogue, and the cold and silent war dictates that only one of them should remain at the club for the season in 2025.

No atmosphere with the coaching staff and also with the squad , Gabriel Barbosa has been convinced to change and airs, but even the clubs that expressed interest in the first half of the year backed away. With a contract at Flamengo until the end of December, Gabigol had offers from Palmeiras, Corinthians and Santos, was mentioned at Grêmio, but did not want to sign a pre-contract with any team.

The expectation was to try to turn things around on top in the second half, otherwise he would end his time at Flamengo like the idol he became, without any fuss.

Tite's arrival last year changed the entire perspective of the striker, who was already in a bad phase previously, and lost his place once and for all to Pedro with the presence of the new coach. With the center forward's recent injury, Tite kept Gabigol at the end of the line, under the argument that Carlinhos and Bruno Henrique perform better in the scheme with a reference man .

Without understanding the criteria, Gabi maintains her dedication to the basic level of professionalism in training, as it is not part of the coach's or the club's plans for a possible renewal. With the chances of a comeback practically buried, the two possible paths are to wait for the election in Flamengo to find out if Tite will remain with the next president; or wait for the end of the contract to freely listen to proposals again. Palmeiras and Santos have not yet given up on the idea, and Bahia appears as an option, as it has good investment capacity.

Flaengo striker Luiz Araújo underwent successful surgery this Wednesday (13) to correct an osteochondral injury in his right knee. The procedure, carried out by doctor Max Ramos and accompanied by Márcio Tannure, head of the club's medical department, was necessary after the player fractured his cartilage during the derby against Vasco, last Sunday (10).

UNDERSTAND THE LUIZ ARAÚJO INJURY

The osteochondral injury involves the cartilage, a tissue that covers the bones between the joints. In cases of separation, degeneration or rupture, the underlying bone may also be affected. This condition is common in joints such as the knee, ankle and elbow, and can cause pain and movement limitations.

Luiz Araújo suffered the injury in a dispute with left-back Lucas Piton, from Vasco. After the collision, the Mais Querido player needed medical attention and, although he tried to continue on the field, he was substituted in the 17th minute of the first half.

RECOVERY TIME

The red-black attacker's estimated recovery time is approximately two months. During this period, he will undergo an intensive process of physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation, with the expectation of returning in shape for the end of the season.

FOCUS IN RECOVERY

Flamengo's medical department is closely monitoring Luiz Araújo's progress, ensuring that the player has all the conditions for a full recovery. The team is also looking for alternatives to make up for the athlete's absence in the next important commitments, both in the Brasileirão and the Libertadores.
