Flamengo is preparing to face Juventude this Wednesday (16), at 9:30 pm, at Maracanã, in a duel valid for the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship. Leader of the competition so far, the team led by Filipe Luis is still looking for its first victory at home in the current edition of the national tournament. The only time it played as the home team so far, Mengão drew 1-1 with Internacional, also at Maracanã, in the first round. Since then, it has earned important points playing away from home, but the fans hope to see a victory at home to confirm the team's good moment.
In both away matches, the red-and-black team performed impeccably. First, they beat Vitória 2-1 at Barradão, in the second round. Then, they beat Grêmio with authority: 2-0, at the Arena in Porto Alegre. The six points won as a visitor put the team in the lead of the competition.
Knowing the importance of the match against Juventude, coach Filipe Luis has been working hard in training at Ninho do Urubu. The expectation is that the team will go out on the field with full strength, since the Brasileirão has become the main focus at this point in the season. Despite being top of the table, the mood is one of alert in the squad, since the team has not yet managed to win against Nação. Securing the three points at Maracanã is seen as a priority to maintain the strong pace and consolidate the good start to the campaign.
The coach is looking for solutions to improve the team's performance at home, something that could be crucial in the fight for the title. With the support of the fans and a packed Maracanã, the pressure will be even greater for the Mais Querido to get its first victory in front of its fans. On the other side, Juventude comes to the duel with the mission of earning points away from home. Even aware of the difficulties of facing the championship leader at Maracanã, the team from Rio Grande do Sul is counting on defensive consistency and quick counterattacks to try to surprise.
Coach Roger Machado's team knows that a good result could represent a significant boost in the standings. And, historically, Juventude has managed to make life difficult for the big teams away from home, which reinforces the need for Rubro-Negro to pay extra attention. With solid performances away from Rio, the fans are now expecting a positive response at home. The draw against Internacional is still a recent memory, and winning at Maracanã has become a matter of affirmation for the team. The expectation is for a full house this Wednesday.

Flamengo idol Adriano Imperador stated in an interview that he played more than some of the biggest names in world football. With a career marked by talent, physical strength, and humility , "Didico" continues to be fondly remembered by Flamengo fans.
During an appearance on the show Boteco do Chula, Adriano was asked if he had performed at a higher level than stars like Ronaldo, Romário, Ibrahimovic, Mbappé, Lewandowski, and Gabigol . The former player candidly stated that he considers himself superior to some of them.
In the Emperor's opinion, Kyllian Mbappé, Robert Lewandowski, and Gabigol are behind him . However, according to Adriano himself, Romário, Ibrahimovic , and Ronaldo Fenômeno are in a higher tier.
Adriano's most significant connection with the club came in the 2009 Brazilian Championship . During that campaign, the striker played in 30 of the 38 rounds, scoring 19 goals and contributing four assists. With him on the field, the team recorded 15 wins, seven draws, and eight losses. This victory was decisive not only for the club's recent history, but also for the Emperor's career.
Adriano recalls that title as the greatest moment of his career on the field. In a recent interview with GE, he highlighted the team's unity as a determining factor in winning the trophy: " Theoretically, I was down there, the team wasn't doing well. An unforgettable title for me. The group was very good. We really came together, and that made it possible for us to be champions, for sure ."
