Flamengo returns to the field this Wednesday (16), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), to face Juventude in the 4th round of the Brazilian Championship. The match will be at Maracanã , with the promise of full stands and a party atmosphere. Undefeated in the competition so far, the team led by Filipe Luís arrives motivated by the victory away from home against Grêmio, in Porto Alegre.
According to data from Transfermarkt, Rubro-Negro has the second most valuable squad in the Brasileirão, valued at approximately 219 million euros (around R$1.45 billion). The difference compared to tonight's opponent is striking. Juventude has a group valued at around R$115 million, which highlights the difference in investment and structure between the clubs.
While Mengão enters the championship with high goals and real expectations of winning the title, Juventude adopts a more modest stance . The focus of the team from Rio Grande do Sul is to ensure its permanence in the Brazilian football elite, avoiding the suffocation of relegation. Despite an encouraging start to the tournament, the team from Caxias do Sul knows that the fight will be intense until the end.
For tonight's match, Filipe Luís should field Rossi in goal; Wesley or Varela at right-back; Léo Ortiz, Danilo and Alex Sandro (or Ayrton Lucas) in defense; Pulgar, Allan and Arrascaeta in the middle; and an attacking trio with Gerson, Everton Cebolinha and Bruno Henrique. The striker, however, is still in doubt.
Bruno Henrique was included in the list of players involved despite having been indicted by the Federal Police. The athlete is in a difficult situation off the field, but continues to train normally. If he does not play, Juninho should be the substitute, forming an attacking duo with Cebolinha. In addition to the market value, the red-and-black squad stands out for its technical quality. Players such as Arrascaeta, Gerson and Pulgar give the coach several possibilities for tactical variation. This depth in the squad can be a determining factor in games like tonight's, where the opponent tends to defend itself for most of the time.
Current tournament champion, Mengão faces the Catalan team this Saturday (23) and could break attendance records in the international final

Flamengo is preparing for another international final in the youth categories. The current champion of the U-20 Intercontinental Cup , the team faces Barcelona (ESP) this Saturday (23), at 4:30 pm, at Maracanã , in search of its second championship. The competition brings together the winners of the U-20 Copa Libertadores and the UEFA Youth League, the most important tournaments in the category in South America and Europe.
According to information released by journalist Venê Casagrande, as of Friday night, 35,473 tickets had already been sold for the match. The red-and-black fans are expected to sell out the entire ticket, even with the Upper South section still closed. Due to high demand, tickets for the Upper East section, previously blocked, have been released for sale.
Tickets for the East and Lower West sectors, as well as the North sector, are already sold out. Tickets remain for the Upper East sector, part of the South sector, and Maracanã Mais. Prices range from R$22.50 (half-price) to R$300 (full-price) , and sales are exclusive to the official website: ingressos.flamengo.com.br .
The match has a strong chance of breaking the tournament's all-time attendance record, held by the 2022 match between Peñarol (URU) and Benfica (POR), when 40,579 fans attended. The red-and-black fans are expected to surpass that mark on Saturday.
The final will be broadcast live on free-to-air TV Globo, starting at 4:30 p.m. (Brasília time) . Gustavo Villani will be the commentator, with Maestro Júnior and Paulo Nunes, both of whom have played for the Rio de Janeiro club's youth academy.
Valencia, Sevilla and Porto have approached representatives for the defender, but Rubro-Negro does not intend to negotiate the player in the current 2025 window.

Flamengo recently rejected inquiries from three European clubs for defender Léo Pereira . According to the ge portal, Valencia, Sevilla, and Porto have expressed interest in the player , seeking information on the conditions for a potential deal.
Despite contact from representatives, the club's board made it clear that it has no intention of negotiating the player during this window . However, communication between the parties will remain open for future discussions.
Currently, the only way for Léo Pereira to leave the Rio de Janeiro club would be to pay the full release clause, set at 60 million euros (approximately R$380 million). A similar situation occurs with Léo Ortiz , who has also been targeted by European clubs.
Signed in 2020 to replace Pablo Marí, the defender arrived after the Spaniard's departure to Arsenal . At the time, Rubro-Negro paid around €7 million (approximately R$32 million) to Athletico-PR.
Since wearing the red-and-black jersey, Léo Pereira has made 251 appearances, scored 15 goals, and provided five assists. The defender has won a Copa Libertadores, a Campeonato Brasileiro , two Copa do Brasil titles, a Recopa Sudamericana, a Supercopa Rei, and four state titles.
Spanish defender, champion of the Libertadores and Brasileirão in 2019, has attracted interest from the Minas Gerais team, but is currently enjoying a good run of form in Italian football.

Pablo Marí, one of the key players in Flamengo's Libertadores and Brasileirão triumphs in 2019, may be in Atlético-MG's sights. According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, a transfer market specialist, the Minas Gerais club has expressed interest in signing the Spanish defender , currently a starter for Fiorentina.
"Two foreign clubs have shown interest in defender Pablo Marí ," Schira revealed on social media. " Atlético Mineiro is interested in defender Pablo Marí ," the reporter added.
After excelling at Flamengo , Pablo Marí was sold to Arsenal in England in 2020 for 14 million euros. The defender also spent time on loan at Udinese and Monza , before being acquired permanently by the Italian club in 2023.
Thanks to the maintenance of 40% of the economic rights at the time of the transfer, Flamengo made a profit of around R$14.6 million from the negotiation and still has to receive a portion of 680 thousand euros (approximately R$4.35 million), an amount that should be paid soon.
In early 2025 , Pablo Marí transferred to Fiorentina, responding to a request from coach Raffaele Palladino , who had previously worked with him at Monza. With a contract until June 2026, the defender is a key player in the Italian club's defense, making an immediate release difficult.
