Walter Monteiro, one of the authors of the amendment that takes a stand against the Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF), confirmed that the proposal should be voted on in August by Flamengo's Deliberative Council. The statement was made during a live broadcast on MRN TV. The decision could mark an important moment for the club's administrative future, generating exexpectations and discussions between advisors and fans.
SAF, orSociedade Anônima do Futebol, is a management model that allows football clubs to transform into companies, being able to attract external investments and improve financial management. Many Brazilian clubs have considered this option as a way to get out of financial crises and improve their operations. However, the idea also encounters resistance from some sectors that prefer to maintain traditional associative administration.
A NEW NARRATIVE IS PRESENTED
The amendment proposed by Walter Monteiro and other advisors aim to block the implementation of SAF in Flamengo. Arguments against the SAF include members' loss of control over the club and the possible excessive influence of external investors on the team's decisions. Furthermore, there are concerns about the long-term financial sustainability and preservation of the club's identity.
The vote is scheduled for August and promises to be a significant event for Flamengo. Advisors and associates have extensively discussed the pros and cons of SAF. On the one hand, SAF defenders argue that the model can bring financial stability and modernize the club's management. On the other hand, opponents fear that the change could compromise the essence of Flamengo and reduce the influence of fans in decisions.

Coach Filipe Luís exposed Pedro's attitudes in training last week at a press conference last Saturday (12). Thus, the coach's statements gained a great repercussion and were commented on by former Flamengo player, Rafinha, on Fechamento SporTV.
The former Mais Querido full-back was categorical in praising Filipe Luís's attitude. He gave his opinion on the situation and said he understood the coach's attitude , which exposed the center forward's lack of commitment in training.
Rafinha praises Flamengo's coach: "Pedro knows that Filipe is an example. I'm friends with both of them. A guy who always trained, always applied himself."
He continued: "It's easy to know who's right. I'll never condemn Pedro, who's fantastic, has a huge heart. He's a great player, and Flamengo really needs Pedro. Now, in this training part... training conditions you for the game. Today, the speed, the dynamics, the strength of the games make you have to train well, " said Rafinha, on Sportv's Closing.
The former Flamengo player continued commenting on the incident and emphasized that he didn't see any exaggeration in Filipe Luís 's tone at the press conference. He also said that the Mais Querido coach's attitude seemed to have the approval of the other players on the squad.
"It may seem like he was aggressive, that he exposed Pedro too much, but no. He said: 'The lack of respect was towards his teammates.' It was towards the group. That's clear. He can't be bad at 40 and be good with Pedro ," the former full-back highlighted before adding:
"He has to get along with the group, with everyone, with the majority. Even though he's a partner. It's bad, because it's a complaint about a lack of commitment in training ," assessed Rafinha.
Rafinha concluded by saying he believes Pedro will react at Flamengo. The former Rubro-Negro full-back emphasized that it's difficult for a player to receive public criticism the way Filipe Luís did.
"That's annoying. I hope he regains that confidence, because he was injured (knee injury). This situation isn't difficult. Filipe was very clear, he wants Pedro back ," concluded the former Flamengo player.

Last Saturday (12), Flamengo coach Filipe Luís criticized Pedro's actions during the last week of training with the squad. Thus, Walter Casagrande, former player and commentator, highlighted that the Mais Querido coach was clear, but not aggressive, even so, the interview had a great impact.
Casagrande comments on Flamengo coach's speech: "It was surprisingly negative for me to see Filipe Luís say all these things about Pedro."
He continued: "It couldn't be clearer than that. I'm a fan of his football and I've always had the impression that his professionalism and dedication were the best. Now let's see what reaction he gets after these revelations from the press conference ," Casagrande highlighted.
Casagrande also expressed sadness about Pedro 's current situation, which, according to him, may be jeopardizing his own career due to behaviors that impact the group. Still, the commentator believes there is time for the player to recover.
"I believe Pedro is still one of the great center forwards in Brazilian football, but now there are new players coming through, like Chelsea's João Pedro, who will play in the Club World Cup final. Therefore, it would be smart for Pedro to get his act together quickly, return to serious training, and fight for a starting spot at Flamengo ," said Casagrande.
Pedro returned from a serious injury a few months ago. Since then, the center forward has appeared in 17 matches for Flamengo . He has scored five goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
