Luiz Araújo also analyzed Flamengo's performance against Corinthians . After Corinthians' 2-1 defeat to Flamengo this Sunday (28), in the 25th round of the Brazilian Championship, Gustavo Henrique was dissatisfied with the validation of the goal scored by Luiz Araújo . The defender claimed that the ball had gone out of bounds at the start of the play, after a deflection from Gonzalo Plata.
" On the throw-in, I managed to block it, and the ball hit him, which is clear from the direction of the play. They hit quickly and scored. It was incredibly frustrating because we managed to neutralize their play. They didn't create many scoring chances, and unfortunately, we were turned around," he said in an interview with CazéTV.
Gustavo Henrique also commented on Corinthians' performance before halftime. The team had clear chances to open the scoring , including a penalty missed by Yuri Alberto.
"In the first half, we played well. We were able to balance the game, neutralize Flamengo's chances well, and had opportunities to open the scoring, with a penalty and one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
