Another embezzlement? Wesley leaves the field feeling pain and worries Flamengo's technical committee for the game against Peñarol

Grêmio beat Flamengo by the score of 3 to 2 on Sunday night (22), in the 27th round of the Brasileirão. With a game dominated by Mais Querido, the team from Rio Grande do Sul took advantage of the chances they had and made them happen. Furthermore, the Grêmio team managed to get Carlinhos expelled, which will make Rubro-Negro absent in the next match.

Carlinhos was sent off 12 minutes into the second half in a move involving the athlete and Kannemann. For the refereeing of the confrontation, the red-black attacker allegedly attacked the Grêmio defender, without contesting the ball. Thus, the player received a straight red card.

Thus, Carlinhos will miss Flamengo in the match against Athletico-PR, valid for the 28th round of the Brasileirão. The game will be on September 29th, at 8pm, at Maracanã.

Carlinhos started the match against Grêmio among the 11 starters. However, the attacker was unable to take advantage of the chance given by Tite. In addition to the expulsion, which left Mais Querido with one player less for 30 minutes, the attacker missed clear chances of goal.

Now , the Flamengo squad focuses on the big decision against Peñarol, in the quarter-finals of the Libertadores. Mais Querido returns to the field next Thursday (26), at 7pm, in Uruguay. Remembering that Rubro-Negro needs to reverse the 1-0 score to qualify for the semi-finals.

Flamengo lost to Grêmio on Sunday night (22), by the score of 3 to 2. Léo Ortiz remained in Rio de Janeiro, along with Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira, Alex Sandro, Erick Pulgar, De la Cruz, Arrascaeta, Gerson, Plata, Bruno Henrique and Gabigol, all spared by the technical committee. Despite the risk of Carlinhos receiving a yellow card, Tite chose to select the player for the clash against Grêmio.

Flamengo's likely team for the game is: Matheus Cunha; Wesley, David Luiz, Cleiton and Ayrton Lucas; Allan, Everton Araújo, Matheus Gonçalves, Alcaraz, Lorran and Carlinhos.

In addition to those spared, some players are out due to injury: Pedro, Everton Cebolinha, Viña, Michael and Luiz Araújo.
