The Flamengocontinues in the search for its much-desired stadium of its own, but faces significant obstacles in the negotiation for the Gasmetro site, in Rio de Janeiro. According to information from journalist Lauro Jardim, from Jornal O Globo, Caixa Econômica Federal does not feel pressured by Mayor Eduardo Paes' statements about the possibility of expropriation of the land, which makes the negotiation even more complex for the club.

A Caixa, which manages an investment fund that owns the 87,000 square meter plot, is not willing to significantly reduce the price of R$450 million. Flamengo, in turn, intends to pay only a third of this amount, which creates an impasse in negotiations. Furthermore, the club is also interested in acquiring an additional space of 17 thousand square meters for the construction of a parking lot.

FLAMENGO HAS ADVANCED CONVERSATIONS

In the face of resistance from Caixa, the city hall and its allies need to find a viable solution to make the construction of the stadium viable. Two options are on the table: the expropriation of the land Gasologista or improving the construction potential of the club's headquarters in Gávea.

Expropriation, however, is a lengthy and uncertain process, which could extend beyond the upcoming municipal elections, representing a risk for Flamengo, which currently has the support of the municipal administration to move forward with the project.

I'm going to try to be among the top 10 in the world in the individual all-around. Any opportunity I have to take a final on the fixed or parallel bar, I will be prepared. The general individual is our focus. If everything goes much better than we expect, we want to be in the top five”, said Diogo.

Flamengo's board of directors called on members of Deliberative Council for a meeting next Monday, at 6:30 pm, at the club's headquarters, in Gávea. The purpose of the meeting is to vote on the release of the initial bid of approximately R$ 138 million in the auction of the Gasologista land, where the club intends to build its new stadium.

“Authorize Flamengo to participate in the auction and offer bids at a value equal to or greater than the valuation, so that Flamengo can acquire the aforementioned property at a value it deems fair, reasonable and compatible with its financial health”, states an excerpt from the call document.

After the expropriation determined by Mayor Eduardo Paes, the minimum bid was established at R$ 138,195,000.00. Apparently, Flamengo will be the only participant in the auction to acquire the land, which belonged to an investment fund managed by Caixa.

The Gasmetro land, located in a strategic area of the city, is seen by Flamengo's board of directors as the ideal location for the construction of a new stadium, which would meet the needs of the club and its vast fans. The acquisition of this land is a fundamental step in the implementation of this ambitious project.

Approval of the initial bid by the Deliberative Council is crucial so that Flamengo can safely advance in negotiations and guarantee the purchase of the land. The expectation is that, with the new home, the club will be able to further increase its revenue and provide a unique experience for its fans.
