0After a strong debut at the Paris Olympics, the Brazilian women's artistic gymnastics team secured the bronze medal in the final of the sport this Tuesday (30). The team, made up of some athletes from Flamengo such as Rebeca Andrade, Flávia Saraiva, Jade Barbosa and Lorrane Oliveira, as well as Júlia Soares , achieved a historic feat by finishing in third place with a final score of 164.497.
The Brazilian team faced stiff competition, but managed to stand out. The gold medal went to the United States, which scored 171,296 points, while the silver went to Italy, which achieved 165,494 points. This is the first time that Brazil has achieved a podium in the women's artistic gymnastics team competition at the Olympics.
Before the competition, the Brazilian team went through a moment of tension when Flávia Saraiva suffered a fall from the bars parallel during heating, opening the eyebrow. Despite the scare, Flávia returned to the competition and contributed to the team's overall performance. In the scoring system, the team's worst score is discarded for each device.
INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHT
Rebeca Andrade, gold medalist at the Tokyo Games, was the highlight of the Brazilian team. She achieved the highest scores on the team on all devices: vault (15.100), floor exercise (14.200), beam (14.133) and parallel bars (14.533). Her scores were close to those of her main opponent, Simone Biles, who had a standout performance with vault (14.900), beam (14.363), parallels (14.400) and floor exercise (14.666).
In the classification phase, Brazil finished in fourth place, with 166,499 points. The first positions went to the United States (172,296), Italy (166,861) and China (166,628).

0O Sesc Flamengo beat Pinheiros by 3 sets to 1this Friday (8) at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gym, achieving their fourth victory in the Women's Superliga and taking second place in the tournament. Led by Bernardinho, the team won the partials in 25/17, 25/14, 21/25 and 25/20.
In the first set, the highlight of Sesc Flamengo was the block, with six points against just one from Pinheiros. Helena stood out with three of these blocks. The team took advantage of Pinheiros' nine passing errors and closed the set with Edinara, who scored seven points.
In the second set, FlaVôlei intensified the attack and, with the support of Brie O'Reilly's precise distributions< /b>, extended the lead to 2-0. Helena was again the highest scorer, and the set ended 25/14.
The third set was more balanced, with Pinheiros winning 25/21 after Sesc Flamengo made more mistakes. In the fourth set, with Pinheiros ahead 7-6, there was a power outage, paralyzing the game for more than 30 minutes. After the break, Sesc Flamengo returned to the rhythm, showing defensive consistencyand closing at 25/20 to guarantee the victory.

0Sesc RJ Flamengo confirmed that it will play six games at Maracanãzinho during the Women's Volleyball Super League 2024/25. The first reunion with the traditional gym takes place this Tuesday (12), at 9:30 pm, in a clash against Gerdau Minas, one of the highlights of the tournament.
In addition to the duel against Minas, Sesc RJ Flamengo returns to Maracanãzinho on November 19th, when they will face Dentil/Praia Clube at 6:30 pm. In the second round, Bernardinho's team will have commitments against Brasília on January 7th, Barueri on January 20th, Osasco/São Cristóvão Saúde on February 21st, and Batavo Mackenzie on March 21st.
POSITION IN THE SUPERLEAGUE AND NEXT GAME
The team rubro-negra currently occupies third place in the Superliga, with nine points in four matches played. In the last round, they beat Osasco, but suffered a defeat against Unilife/Maringá. This Friday (08), Sesc RJ Flamengo will play again, this time against Pinheiros, at Tijuca Tênis Clube, at 9:30 pm.

With a victorious trajectory, Sesc RJ Flamengo won multiple titles in the Women's Superliga, including the 1997/1998, 1999/2000 editions, and several consecutive victories between 2005 and 2017. With this experience, the team is once again looking to reach the playoffs and fight for the title in a championship contested by 12 teams in a round-robin format.
