0This Monday morning (9), a video detailing the partnership between Flamengo with Leixões, from Portugal , was published by the Paparazzo Rubro-Negro channel. The material reveals what the Portuguese club's headquarters will be like and how Flamengo's identity will be incorporated into the location. The Rio club's objective is to become a majority shareholder, acquiring 56% of Leixões' SAD, which corresponds to the SAF model in Brazilian football. This percentage belongs to the company Playfair, which is facing financial difficulties. Watch the video.
Recently, news circulated that Flamengo has already would have invested R$9 million to help Leixões with structural adjustments, but Diogo Lemos, member of the Football Council of Flamengo, denied the information: “The information is not correct”, he told the 'MRN' portal. The rumor gained strength after the transfer of an amount from the Santa Monica fund account, in Rio de Janeiro, to the coffers of the Portuguese club.
It is important to highlight that any investment from Flamengo at Leixões will need to be approved by the club's Deliberative Council. Previously, the Red and Black team considered a partnership with Tondela, another Portuguese club, but the project did not go ahead.
Currently in the second division of Portuguese football for 14 seasons, Leixões has only one notable title in its history: the Taça de Portugal from the 1960/61 season. Founded in 1907 in the city of Matosinhos, in the North of Portugal, the club made its first appearance in the Portuguese football elite in 1936/37, but finished in last place. In total, Leixões participated in 25 seasons in the first division.
Leixões directors believe that by selling part of their football to Flamengo, could return to the elite scene of Portuguese football.
Mais Querido's current legal deputy also revealed Marcos Braz's reason for leaving the club at the end of the year

0Candidate for the presidency of Flamengo, Rodrigo Dunshee participated in the Jannuzzi & Abuzze podcast and explained the reason for Marcos Braz's departure in 2025. The current vice-president of football at Flamengomade it clear that he has no desire to remain at the club next season and will focus on his professional career.
“Marcos Braz's position is complicated, it suffers wear and tear . Everything in life has a cycle. Marcos has already made it very clear that he will not continue. There was a moment when he was very important, he brought his experience. In 2018, when we arrived, we discussed who would be the football vice president. Nobody had the courage to be, but Marcos Braz did. That right there is an electric chair”, said Dunshee.
Soon afterwards, Dunshee hinted that if he is elected, the football department will be entirely professionalised: “Marcos made an important contribution. People need to understand a little how important Marcos was. He already said he would leave and I accepted. Next year we will move towards a professionalization system. But Marcos will be with us on the council”, he pointed out.
PRESIDENTIAL RACE IN FLAMENGOIn addition to Rodrigo Dunshee, Luiz Eduardo Baptista, Wallim Vasconcelos, Pedro Paulo and Maurício Gomes de Mattos is also running for president of Mais Querido. However, the current legal and general deputy of Rubro-Negro leads the voting intention polls with 25%, while Bap is with 22%.
