Back in Rio de Janeiro for the last games of the NBB qualifying phase, FlaBasquete beat Corinthians, 88 to 58, this Saturday afternoon (6), at Maracanãzinho. Gabriel Jaú was the highlight of the match with 24 points. With another triumph, Rubro-Negro continued to lead the national tournament.
Orgulho da Nação will play again on Monday (8), against Pinheiros, home again. The match marks the last round of the qualifying phase of Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).

1st Quarter
The duel between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo began with Corinthians opening four points ahead. The first red and black points came from Maique, under the table. Olivinha, on the tray, scored Mengão's eighth point of the game. Well connected to the match, Didi made two infiltration plays that resulted in four points. After two free throws converted by Jaú, Pride of the Nation reached equality on the scoreboard. In the final seconds, Maique converted a triple ball, making Mais Querido close the partial with a four-point advantage: 23 to 19. p>
At the beginning of the second quarter, Gui Deodato converted from the perimeter, increasing the red-black advantage. Big Maique had his aim up to date and hit two more triples in a row. More consistent in defense and scoring well in attack, the red and black team started to control the actions. Gabriel Jaú also took advantage of the team's good moment to convert a three-ball. With the game under control, FlaBasquete went into the break with a good lead: 48 to 29.
3rd Quarter
Who Jaú opened the proceedings in the third quarter, with a beautiful dunk. Then, number 9 scored again. This time on a beautiful aerial bridge. He was Mengão's absolute highlight at the beginning of the period. Balbi worked well on the play in the bottle and assisted Maique to score two more points. Olivinha, the “God of the Race”, also had a good game, converting points and distributing the plays. With a wide advantage and dominance of the match, Pride of the Nation closed the partial at 67 to 37.
4th Quarter
In the last quarter, Cuello threw for three and the ball fell. Created from the base, Felipe Motta came off the bench and scored his points in the game. Former player and idol of Flamengo basketball Olivinha announced this Tuesday (09) that he will not continue on Flamengo TV. Since October 2024, he worked as a commentator on the club's official channel , but confirmed the end of the contract through social media.

Although unusual, Embiid's presence in the Lakes Region has a reason. Married to Brazilian model Anne de Paula, the athlete often visits the city, where his father-in-law lives, during the holidays. This time, he took the opportunity to explore the "Nação Rubro-Negra" store and expand his Flamengo memorabilia collection.
