One of the Carioca semifinals will be the classic between Flamengo and Fluminense. The first match will be this Saturday (9), at 9pm, at Maracanã. Thus, Pedro designed the game and stated that the Mais Querido team has been making good preparation, aiming to qualify for the final of the tournament.
"Preparation has been very good with Professor Tite and the entire committee. We know the importance of the classic in the semi-final. It's a game that has everything to be a great duel. But we come with excellent expectations of a big game at the beginning of the year. And I hope we can play a great game to leave with the victory and take a big step forward in the semi-final", said Pedro, in an interview with FlaTV.
I WISH TO MAINTAIN THE GOOD CAMPAIGN IN CARIOCA
Mais Querido lifted the trophy Guanabara Cup after having a great first phase of the Carioca Championship. O Rubro Negro finished the isolated leader, with 27 points. To achieve this, Flamengo entered the field 11 times, winning eight and drawing three. Furthermore, Mengo scored 23 goals, while their defense was leaked on just one occasion.
Fluminense finished Carioca's first phase in fourth place in the league table, with 21 points. Unlike Flamengo, the tricolor team won six matches, drew three and lost two. The Laranjeiras team scored 17 goals in total, while conceding 11.
Draw ADVANTAGE
For having had the best campaign in the Guanabara Cup, Flamengo will have the advantage of a draw. Thus, the Mais Querido squad concludes its activities this Friday (8) with a focus on the match this Saturday (9), at 9 pm, against Fluminense, valid for the first game of the Carioca semifinal. After the 1-0 defeat at Maracanã, Flamengo arrives in Belo Horizonte determined to seek qualification for the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. The decisive match against Atlético-MG takes place this Wednesday (6), at 7 pm , at Arena MRV, with broadcast by Gazeta do Urubu.
Flamengo's starting lineup has already been defined for the big decision , with the best it has: Rossi; Varela, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira and Ayrton Lucas; Jorginho, Everton Araújo and Wallace Yan; Plata, Cebolinha and Pedro .
