Luiz Eduardo Baptista remains uncomfortable with Flamengo 's contract with Libra, as he fears that the club will end up suffering a million-dollar loss. In his participation in the 'MengoCast', a podcast by FlamengoTV, the Mais Querido's president explained that contractual differences between Libra and LFU make unification a difficult task. Thus, according to him, the contracts with Globo have different clauses, which could generate friction in the merger of the leagues.
There will be significant challenges in these conversations.
I understand that they are two different contracts. I have no doubt that the contract established by the LFU is better than the one established by Libra. When you think about a merger of the two leagues, there are clauses and rules in the contract with Globo that are not the same. We already know that they are different. So, how do you unify this? There will be important challenges in these conversations ", said the president of Flamengo.
LOSSES FLAMENGO HAD WITH LIBRA
The Mais Querido's representative also highlighted that Flamengo 's agreement with Libra resulted in losses for the club in recent years. According to Bap, adherence to the league model ended up compromising the club's revenues.
I don't accept a situation like that.
" I understand that Flamengo's entry into Libra was very detrimental to Flamengo. I estimate that the club lost something around 450 to 500 million reais in five years. This is a challenge that we already have and, as a Flamengo director, I do not accept a situation like this ", he highlighted.
FLAMENGO COULD BREAK WITH LIBRA
According to information from journalist Rodrigo Mattos, from UOL, one of Flamengo's intentions is to change the audience criteria , since Mais Querido understands that the club loses almost R$100 million. However, there are other requests on Libra's table.
Flamengo's requests have caused some discomfort among the other members of Libra, but the Rubro-Negro will insist. If none of its demands are met, president Luiz Eduardo Baptista plans to withdraw the club from the group . In fact, there is already a rapprochement with Liga Forte União, with whom Mais Querido has a good relationship.

Sesc Flamengo achieved an important victory over Tijuca Tênis Clube, this Tuesday (7), and sealed its place in the final of the Carioca Volleyball Championship. After the setback against Fluminense in the previous round, Bernardinho's team reacted with authority and won by 3 sets to 1, with partial scores of 25/21, 25/23 and 25/23.
Despite a brief stumble in the third set, when the opponent showed a strong reaction , Mais Querido maintained control of the match for most of the time and ensured its return to the state final.
The first two sets had a similar storyline: Sesc Flamengo dominated technically and tactically, but faced resistance from Tijuca Tênis Clube. In the first, the red-and-black team opened up a six-point lead, but saw their opponent close in late in the set, finishing 25-21.
The balance continued in the second set. The teams were tied at 20-20, until Mengão managed to open up a two-point lead and close it out at 25-23, extending their lead. In the third set, Tijuca fought back and took an 11-4 lead, exploiting Sesc Flamengo's defensive lapses. However, Bernardinho's team held their nerve, narrowed the gap, and regained control in the final stretch, turning the score around to 25-23.
With this result, Sesc Flamengo secured a spot in the final of the Rio de Janeiro Volleyball Championship, where they will once again face Fluminense—the team they defeated in the previous round. The final promises to be a tight contest, featuring two of the strongest squads in the state.
Mengão started the match well, but let the tricolor resurface, lost the rhythm and suffered the first defeat in the state by 3 sets to 1
