Last Thursday (20), a parade with pieces created and produced by students of the Ombro a Ombro social project celebrated the three training classes that have already passed this second year of the project. The event was an opportunity for the students to put into practice the fundamentals of cutting, modeling, sewing and finishing learned throughout the course, which lasts four months. The vast majority of women participating in Ombro a Ombro are already formally working or undertaking activities related to the craft of sewing.

Combining professional training and income generation, Flamengo Social Responsibility created, in June 2022, the Ombro a Ombro social project, in partnership with the organization Aldeias Infantis SOS Brasil, to work with Brazilian women and refugees. In addition to improving the lives of these women, Ombro a Ombro seeks to collaborate in the construction and strengthening of female self-esteem, empowerment and autonomy, through the craft of sewing and conversation circles on various cross-cutting themes. In two years of the project, Ombro a Ombro has already trained 140 women and around 80 are already generating income from the project's training.

“The Ombro a Ombro project increased my self-esteem, I made new friends, I started to live with more people, which was very important for me. In addition, I learned to sew, today I make dresses, dish towels, toilet paper holders... It's also a way for me to earn extra income to help with my budget", said Valdenice Cerqueira de Souza, resident of the region and student of the project Shoulder to Shoulder. “Many students are opening their own businesses, others are doing small repairs at home, it is a very important project for these women. Most are single mothers, heads of families. this project”, said Ana Cristina Nunes, coordinator of Ombro a Ombro.

Friends and family of the students present at the parade were also very happy and proud with the achievement of the Ombro a Ombro participants, further strengthening the project. confidence and enthusiasm of these women, who walked the catwalk produced and made up by the Make Art Space beauty team. To make the event even more special, the fashion show was presented by actress Pia Manfroni, who commented on each piece of clothing and cheered with the achievement of students.

The mayor of Rio de Janeiro expropriated the land from Gasologista to facilitate the purchase by Flamengo. However, Governor Cláudio Castro's undersecretary, Victor Travancas, wants to hinder Mais Querido's dream of owning a home, as he alleges the illegality of the procedure adopted by the mayor.

Victor wants to stop the construction of Mais Querido's stadium by asking for the annulment of the Decree by Eduardo Paes. The undersecretary's objective is to challenge the decision to expropriate the Gasometer land.

REQUEST FROM VICTOR TRAVANCAS

According to information from the Mundo Rubro-Negro portal, Victor sent a message to his colleagues asking for support and said that he was tired of waiting for a position from the MP-RJ, in addition to saying that he will "sacrifice" himself personally.

“Dear friends, I waited a week for any lawyer, or the Ministry Public, question in the Judiciary the illegal procedure of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro for the construction of the Flamengo stadium. As no one had the courage, once again, this humble lawyer, following in the footsteps of Master Sobral Pinto, will sacrifice himself personally and go to court today to annul the Decree of Mayor Eduardo Paes. I count on everyone's support in the fight for Morality.”

However, the undersecretary did not make clear the reason for his discontent nor did he point out the illegality. He guarantees that the expropriation is not correct, contradicting Cláudio Castro, who was in favor.

FLAMENGO'S POSITION

Despite Victor's discontent, Flamengo has not yet commented on the case, as well as the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is possible that the auction for the Gasometer land will take place in the coming months.

This Sunday night was a party for Flamengo. This is because the team beat Cruzeiro 2-1, with a packed Maracanã and managed to isolate itself in the lead of the Brasileirão, 3 points more than the runner-up, Botafogo. In this sense, in a press conference after the duel against Raposa, coach Tite avoided talking about Flamengo's next challenge, Atlético-Mg.

The coach, in a joking tone, asked not to talk about the subject, because you want to enjoy the victory against Cruzeiro first and think about Galo tomorrow.

You were asking the question and I was smiling, like: "Spare me this, go." I want to get home, thank you for the welcome, start thinking strategically about the games. I'm going to enjoy an important, well-deserved victory in a great second half. We started well, about 25 minutes, then we felt the goal. I said during the break: "Calm down, maturity", in the sense of awareness of our concepts, ideas.

Despite this, the results continue to happen and as said above, Rubro-negro has the lead, with 27 Points added and a three-point advantage over Botafogo, in second place, give hope for progress leading to the return of the squad. Flamengo returns to the field next Wednesday, at 9:30 pm, at Arena MRV to face Atlético-MG. A victory keeps the team at the top
