The beginning of this Sunday night was not good for the red and black fans. This is because Flamengo lost to Botafogo 4-1, in another very bad game for the team. Shortly after the final whistle, goalkeeper Agustín Rossi gave an interview on the edge of the field and cited fatigue as Rubro-Negro's biggest problem in the classic.

The goalkeeper also mentioned the decisive match against Bolívar, on Thursday (22), in the Libertadores. He asks that the result against Botafogo does not affect the team's performance in the important clash for the international tournament.
“There is a final on Thursday, in Bolivia, and we need to always be thinking positive. We know that it represents Flamengo, the biggest club in Brazil. Today was a classic and on Thursday it's a final. It's going to be a tough game, we have to keep improving and always move forward. This club demands that.”
With the result in the classic, Flamengo remains with 41 points, five less than the leader Botafogo, with 46. Rubro-negro now needs to turn the key to the Libertadores of America. This is because there is a decisive game at altitude against Bolívar, for a place in the quarter-finals.
In the first match, Tite's men won at Maracanã 2-0 and have the advantage of losing by up to a goal difference to pass. For the Brasileirão, Fla will only return to the field next Sunday, at 4pm, against Bragantino, at Maracanã.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
