Flamengo's squad is considered the strongest in Brazil and probably in South America. According to the study group CIES Football Observatory, based in Switzerland, Flamengo has in its squad five of the most valuable players in Série A 2024, in estimated values. Pedro, Gerson, Victor Hugo, Ayrton Lucas and Nicolás De La Cruz are the red-and-blacks on the list led by Palmeiras native Endrick, recently sold to Real Madrid.
Among the Flamengo athletes on the list, the striker Pedro , aged 26, is the most valued according to CIES studies. The red-and-black number nine would have a market value of €41.7 million (R$226 million). Gerson, 26 years old, would be worth €39.7 million (R$215 million).
Victor Hugo, 19 years old, is valued at €31.7 million (R$172 million). Full-back Ayrton Lucas, 26 years old, would be worth €29 million (R$157 million). Finally, the newly arrived De La Cruz would be worth €27.6 million (R$149 million).
The estimated market values of Flamengo players denote Rubro-Negro's moment of great financial health. The club recently paid Nicolás De La Cruz's fine with River Palte to count on the player. The value was $16 million (R$79 million).
The CIES Football observatory is a study group formed by three researchers and a data collector. The group has a great reputation in the football market, as it has already provided services to FIFA, UEFA, Grupo City, Chelsea, Atlético de Madrid and Benfica.

Flamengo has once again been approached by European clubs interested in one of its most talked-about prospects: midfielder Lorran. According to journalist Venê Casagrande, Pisa, recently promoted to the Italian football elite, made a loan offer for the player, but the terms of the negotiation did not please the red-black board, which chose to reject the proposal.
With the decision, the club kept Lorran in the under-20 squad , where he competes in the Brazilian Championship in the category. Despite being away from the main squad, the youngster continues to stand out with good performances and technical moves in training, which continues to arouse the interest of teams outside the country.
PISA RETURNS TO ITALIAN SERIES A AFTER 34 YEARS
Pisa is experiencing a historic moment after securing promotion to Italy's Serie A for the first time in 34 years. Led by Filippo Inzaghi, the team is looking for reinforcements and identified Lorran as an opportunity for young talent to join the squad. Flamengo has taken an important step towards finalizing the permanent transfer of midfielder Victor Hugo, 21 , to Famalicão, in Portugal. The Portuguese club has presented a purchase proposal that was considered satisfactory by the red-black board, which has already authorized the player's representatives to define the contract terms with the Europeans.
The expectation is that the contract with Famalicão will be valid for three seasons . The values involved in the negotiation were not revealed. The information was released by journalist Venê Casagrande.
NO SPACE IN THE CAST
Victor Hugo recently returned to the club after a loan spell at Goztepe in Turkey. The contract with the Turkish club included a buyout clause set at 8 million euros (approximately R$51 million) , but the European team chose not to exercise the option. Without a place in the squad led by Filipe Luís, the player is not part of the plans for the rest of the season.
Initially, Famalicão discussed the possibility of a new loan , but the talks evolved into a permanent transfer, considered the most advantageous solution by Flamengo 's football department.
PASSING TURKEY
During his time at Goztepe, Victor Hugo made 35 appearances, starting 12 of them, and scored three goals. He was involved in the team's eighth-place finish in the national league and also in the team's run to the semi-finals of the Turkish Cup, ending his spell with a stoppage-time goal against Kasimpasa on May 30.

On the 23rd, Flamengo travels to face Bragantino. It is worth noting that, at the moment, Mais Querido is the leader of the Brasileirão, with 24 points in 11 rounds.
At the end of July, Flamengo turns its attention to the Copa do Brasil. The Mais Querido will host Atlético-MG on the 27th, at Maracanã, for the first leg of the round of 16. Finally, on the 31st, the Rubro-Negro will visit the Minas Gerais team for the return leg.
