After hiring four new names for 2024 season, Flamengo continues to keep an eye on the mid-year window to strengthen itself even further. With defined targets, Mais Querido awaits the new opening of the market to move again in search of a year with even more titles. Check below when the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) determined the opening of the transfer period. When does the mid-year transfer window open?

According to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the mid-season transfer window will begin on July 10th and is scheduled to close on September 2nd.

In this window, the tendency is for Flamengo to bring new names to the attack, given the imminent departure of Gabigol after a controversial episode. Another lacking sector in the squad is the sides, even more so with the arrival of the Copa América, where the team will lose Matías Viña and Guillermo Varela to the Uruguayan team. Regarding departures, Mais Querido raises the alarm mainly in the defense, considering that Fabrício Bruno is the most popular name to leave the Red and Black. b>

For this Wednesday's duel (22) against Amazonas for the Copa do Brasil, Flamengo will have changes in the starting lineup compared to the 11 that started in the victory over Bolívar. After a week without games, coach Tite focused on preparing for the decisive duel and opted for changes. With the team practically defined, Tite will send Matheus Cunha to the goal and, therefore, Rossi will start on the bench. In defense, the coach will not be able to count on Léo Pereira, injured, and therefore, Léo Ortiz will start the match.

The team is not 100% defined because the coach will have the return of Erick Pulgar , but it is not yet known whether the Chilean will return directly to the starting lineup. The question is whether Allan, who has been performing well, will continue in his place or give way to number 5.

Therefore, Flamengo's likely team for the clash against Amazonas is as follows: Matheus Cunha, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Ortiz and Ayrton Lucas; Allan (Erick Pulgar), De La Cruz, Arrascaeta and Gerson; Pedro and Everton Cebolinha.

Arthur Nunes Coimbra, better known as Zico, the greatest idol and creation of Flamengo's academy, gave an exclusive interview to journalist Pablo Raphael, in which he spoke about the club's promising jewel: Lorran. The young player has been a frequent choice of coach Tite to form the midfield in Flamengo's star team.

Zico highlighted Lorran's recent trajectory, highlighting the young player's talent and progress. “Lorran, from the beginning, everyone said that he could become important for Flamengo in the future if he continued like that and he gradually rose. It's logical that he overcame barriers, mainly because arriving at the age of 17, normally few people achieve a feat like that, playing for the first team.”

Renewal of contract

Lorran has a contract with Flamengo until December 2025, and negotiations to renew the contract for another four years are advanced. The process has been smooth, thanks to the excellent relationship between the player's staff and the club, established since the young man arrived at Flamengo.

Despite his optimism, Zico expressed doubts about Lorran remaining at Flamengo for a long period, citing the tendency for young talent to be sold quickly.

“We have a lot of faith as Rubro-Negro that he has everything to bring us a lot of joy, if he doesn't leave sooner, right. Because today the young people who are standing out at Flamengo, almost all of them are leaving and haven't even played 2 years as a professional, which is a shame.”, highlighted Galinho.
