Flamengo U16 lost 3-1 to Vasco, in the second leg of the Guilherme Embry Tournament semi-final. The result eliminated the red and black team, which is now focusing on preparing for the Flamengo Adidas Cup Sub-16, in December. The game

The The first few minutes of the decisive match involved a lot of study between the teams. While Mengão tried to explore the plays on the right, the opponent forced errors from the Flamengo defense. The game changed when Yago was injured after 13 minutes, and shortly afterwards, one athlete from each team received a red card after exchanges of aggression: Pablo on Flamengo's side and João Victor on Vasco's side.

The main chance do Mengão in the first stage appears just before the break. At 40 minutes, the play is worked on by Léo Nannetti. Rubro-Negro takes advantage of the spaces created by the opponent by touching the ball, and arrives with danger on the left. Italo activated Joshua, who infiltrated dribbling, the defense cut and Fred caught the rebound, shooting dangerously. Then, Alan Santos received it on the left and crossed it first time, just for Fred, who arrived testing for the goal, but the opposing goalkeeper made a good save.

The return to the second half is not good, however. At 2', Vasco opened the scoring. The #GarotosDoNinho's reaction happens minutes later, when Lucas Vieira recovers the ball in attack on the right, and immediately crosses into the middle of the area, where Joshua completes it between the goalkeeper's legs. However, at 8', the home team scored the second.

After changes promoted by coach Raphael Bahia, the U16 managed to create two chances to draw and seek a comeback. First, Douglas Telles receives the ball on the left, cuts to the middle and takes a very dangerous shot at the goal, making the goalkeeper play for a corner. Then, Lucas Vieira connects with Douglas Telles in the middle and shoots hard at the goal, leaving on the left. Vasco, however, scored the third and closed the score after 32 minutes.

The Boys from the Ninho return to training this Thursday (15), changing the bracket to the Flamengo Adidas Cup. The category defends the title of the competition, which is the biggest international grassroots football tournament ever organized in Brazil. The Flamengo Adidas Cup starts on December 11th.
