O debate between the candidates for the presidency of Flamengo, held last Monday (18), was marked by confrontations and accusations. One of the most controversial topics was the possibility of the club adopting the Football Anonymous Society (SAF) model in the future. The discussion generated an exchange of barbs between Luiz Eduardo Baptista (Bap) and Rodrigo Dunshee, who disagreed on who would have raised this proposal in the club's councils: Dunshee's current group and that of President Rodolfo Landimor Bap's allies.
Accusations about the SAF < /b>
During the debate, Dunshee accused people linked to Bap's group of presenting a proposal to transform Flamengo into SAF, mentioning the report from the company Win The Game, of which Cláudio Pracownik, Bap's supporter, is part. According to Dunshee, the report even included a “high commission” associated with the possible sale of the club.
Bap refuted the accusations, stating that the study was commissioned by the club's board and was not a autonomous initiative of the company. He also reiterated this defense in demonstrations on social media.
Despite mutual accusations, both candidates declared that they were against the transformation of Flamengo into SAF, while at the same time that they accused their opponent of being insincere on the issue.
Debate on management and principles
Bap was also asked about having "abandoned" the current administration and adjusted his speech due to not having the support of President Landim. In response, he made an analogy saying that he “got on the wrong train” and criticized the administration for, according to him, moving away from fundamental principles for the club.

Question from Rodrigo Dunshee
“Bap, You joined the Bandeira de Mello management and soon after left in a fight. He was also with us and he also fought with us. And now he comes with the list of people who were there in 2015-2018 and didn't win anything, and the club is still on the sidelines. There are people with you who tried to buy Flamengo, 49% of Flamengo, earning a high commission to do a SAF. These people withdrew from the stadium vote. So, I ask the following: how can you, teaming up with people who didn't win anything from 2015 to 2018, be able to make Flamengo better? What is the organizational chart and how will these people do it? What position will they occupy?”
Response from Bap
“When you catch the wrong train, the sooner you get back, the better. If you don't believe in the principles, you better just walk away. This has nothing to do with trains, it has to do with characterand principles. What I believedin 12, 15, 18 and 21 remain absolutely intact. These principles are what I believe for Flamengo. You were the ones who went against the principles. People with me have believed this forever. It is for no other reason that 15 of the vice-presidents from these last administrations are with me. When I look at the group, I have no doubt about what good things could happen for Flamengo's future. Another lie that you are talking about, that people with me tried to sell the club. The person who hired these people to give their opinion, and they gave their opinion, was the president who is with you. The person who discussed the SAF issue was the president. You try to blame it on me and other people. Anyone at the club knows this perfectly well.
Dunshee replica
“You are in a winning group, until six months ago you were askingvery strongly for the president to support you, you wanted to be the candidate of the situation. the. And, suddenly, the principles that guide our management are not adequate, but they are the ones that guided it from the beginning to the end. I'm very comfortable with the team I have and the truth is that president Landim didn't hire anyone, he received a proposal to buy Flamengo for 49%, where one of the people The partner of this company was Claudio Pracownik and you know it. I already talked about this, there are documents that this was done. You were the one who led SAF to Flamengo, with lectures, you talked about SAF in Flamengo all the time. My trajectory has always been against SAF, against selling Flamengo. Flamengo belongs to the Nation, it cannot be left in the hands of one owner.”
Bap's rejoinder
“It's an outright lie that I begged for something at Flamengo. If there's anyone who begged and told everyone that you were already the president's candidate, it's you. Those at the club know this and know you, your trajectory, and know the attitudes of the president, who says one thing and does another. They are lies, lies and lies. When we look at who is on this side, they are the right people. I didn't discuss SAF, there are several videos and records of the president defending SAF, and you were silent. This is absolutely not true. And we are going to show that we are going to play our stadium without SAF and with sports performances.”
< b>Publication of documents and denial of Pracownik
During the debate, Dunshee released documents which, according to him, would prove that the SAF proposal was presented by Cláudio Pracownik. The material, published on the official profile of his candidacy, made reference to the sales model developed by Win The Game.
Pracownik, in turn, denied the accusations in social networks. He stated that the report was requested by Flamengo's board and did not represent an independent proposal on his part, in addition to criticizing Dunshee's statements during the debate.
“The title of the contract explains everything (last image in the post): ASSISTANCE CONTRACT! It's a shame that Rodrigo Dunshee, even though he's a lawyer, doesn't know how to read or understand its nature! Who would you be advising? To Flamengo! Why? Because they asked me for this proposal and that was the reason for my company’s existence! Just like that! Very different from what, out of ignorance or bad faith, he mistakes as an offer to buy the club! He lies as much as he breathes, this guy... poor Flamengo, if he had been in charge of the Club, I'm glad that won't happen!!!”
Context
The SAF theme has generated controversies in Flamengo, especially due to the fear of part of the fans and sectors of the club regarding the loss of autonomy and identity. The discussion promises to continue to be one of the highlights of the red-black electoral campaign.

Mengão opened the scoring in the first half, but could not withstand the pressure from Vozão and left Castelão with just one point, despite remaining at the top.

Flamengo drew 1-1 with Ceará on Sunday night (3). With the result at Castelão, Mengão remains in first place in the Brasileirão. The match marked another game where the Mais Querido's low effectiveness in building plays cost the final result dearly.
In the first half, Flamengo dominated. Mengão completely dominated possession and had more shots, despite goalkeeper Bruno Ferreira's lack of work, making only one save on a shot from Gonzalo Plata. Late in the first half, Plata found Arrascaeta in the box, who scored the red-and-black goal .
Despite maintaining high possession, Flamengo couldn't find the same effectiveness as in the first half, and Ceará began to find more space to play after Arrascaeta's departure. On a corner kick taken by Lucas Mugni, Rossi came out of goal but hesitated, and Pedro Raul headed the ball into the back of the net, tying the score.
With the result, Flamengo remains in first place with 37 points , but with the same number of points as Cruzeiro, with an advantage in goal difference (24 to 19). Mengão, however, still has one game less than the Minas Gerais team.
Flamengo now prepares for the second leg of the Copa do Brasil round of 16 against Atlético-MG . Flamengo lost the first leg 1-0 at Maracanã and needs to win by at least two goals to secure qualification. If Flamengo wins by one goal, the match will go to penalties.
Former Flamengo president believes in a restructuring of the club due to its large fundraising capacity, but a move is necessary.

In the midst of one of its worst institutional and financial crises , Corinthians heard a direct message from one of the names behind Flamengo's recent success. Former Flamengo president Eduardo Bandeira de Mello stated that the São Paulo club needs, above all, "shame on its face" to begin a recovery process .
The statement was made during an interview with the Benja Me Mucho channel, one day after the president of the Corinthians Deliberative Council, Romeu Tuma Júnior, declared that the club “wants to be like Flamengo”, which generated a lot of criticism from Corinthians fans .
Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, ex-Flamengo, on Corinthians: "It's a matter of shame on your face"
As president during the beginning of the restructuring that transformed Flamengo into a sporting and financial powerhouse, Bandeira was blunt when commenting on the Corinthians situation: "It's much more a question of attitude, posture, and shame. What you need to do at Corinthians, what we did at Flamengo, can be learned in Financial Administration . There's nothing fancy about it," he said.
According to Bandeira, the key to a turnaround lies in adopting basic management principles—something he believes Parque São Jorge currently lacks. For the former director, the pillars of reconstruction are simple: posture, responsibility, and credibility: " If you have these pillars, people believe . And trust is the starting point for any recovery," he added.
Bandeira also highlighted that the black and white team and Mengão share an asset that could be decisive in the rebuilding process: the strength of their fans. " For those with 30 million fans, nothing is impossible . The greatest asset of Flamengo, Corinthians, Vasco, Palmeiras... is their fans," he stated.
Bandeira de Mello's statements gain even more weight given the contrast between the two clubs. Corinthians currently has a debt exceeding R$2 billion and is experiencing an internal political crisis . Flamengo, on the other hand, projects revenues close to that amount in 2025, the result of a management that, according to the former president, began with tough—but fundamental—decisions.
Mengão's creation was unable to achieve the expected sequence in Colorado and may be leaving after just over 7 months at the club.

As Flamengo and Internacional prepare for their Copa Libertadores Round of 16 clash, a market movement is connecting the two clubs. Colorado has agreed to loan left-back Ramon to Vitória , with a contract valid until the end of the Brazilian Championship .
A Flamengo youth product, the player will be loaned with a purchase option set at €1.5 million (approximately R$9.6 million) for 50% of the economic rights. This information comes from journalist Venê Casagrande. The official announcement is subject to bureaucratic adjustments.
Signed by Inter in January of this year from Olympiacos-GRE, Ramon has a contract until the end of 2027. However, he was unable to establish himself at Beira-Rio: he only played 12 games, the last one being on June 12, in the defeat to Atlético-MG .
Since then, he's lost his place under coach Roger Machado, who even improvised with defender Victor Gabriel at left back . The move to Vitória represents a chance to regain rhythm and confidence. The Bahia club, in turn, needed reinforcement at that position after the injury of full-back Jamerson.
Flamengo and Internacional will face each other for a spot in the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores . The first leg takes place on August 13th at the Maracanã, while the return leg is scheduled for August 20th at the Beira-Rio stadium in Porto Alegre.
Ramon was part of a successful generation in Flamengo's youth academy . He won the Copinha in 2018, alongside Hugo Souza, Hugo Moura, Pepê, Lucas Silva, and Yuri César. He also won the U-17 Copa do Brasil, the Brasileirão, and the U-20 Super Cup.
For the professional team, he played 39 matches and participated in the 2020 Brazilian title campaign , in addition to winning the three-time Rio de Janeiro championship (2019, 2020 and 2021). Before going to Europe, he was loaned to Red Bull Bragantino.
