Coach Filipe Luís is considering making changes to Flamengo 's starting lineup for the match against Juventude, this Wednesday (16), at 9:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship. The marathon of matches has been demanding a lot of physical effort from the squad, and the committee's idea is to preserve some athletes. With that, Danilo could reappear among the starting eleven after almost two months away due to injury.

DEFENDER HAS NOT PLAYED SINCE FEBRUARY

Danilo's last game was on February 22 , in a 5-0 victory over Maricá, in the last round of the Guanabara Cup. Since then, the number 13 has faced a period of recovery due to a series of muscle injuries. During this time, he was under the care of the club's medical department and was absent from important Mengão matches.

INJURY ALSO IMPACTED THE BRAZILIAN NATIONAL TEAM

In addition to being absent from club games, Danilo's physical condition also cost him a call-up to the Brazilian National Team. Coach Dorival Júnior chose to remove him from the list for the last FIFA Date commitments , precisely because of the impossibility of counting on the defender in full fitness.

Danilo was included in the squad for last Sunday's match (13) against Grêmio, but was on the bench during the 2-0 victory at Maracanã. Coach Filipe Luís's idea was to reintroduce the defender to the group with caution, respecting the recovery time and ideal physical conditioning to return to action.

Now, with greater confidence in the player's physical appearance, the tendency is for Danilo to take Léo Pereira's place in the defense. The change is also justified by the need to rotate the squad, since the schedule has been tight and with consecutive games. Thus, the number 13 should play alongside Léo Ortiz in the red-black defense.

Despite being signed only in the last transfer window, Saúl Ñíguez has already become one of the most important players in Flamengo's squad . The Spanish midfielder arrived at the club on a free transfer and quickly established himself in the starting lineup.

Spanish newspaper Marca highlighted the athlete's rapid adaptation. " The former Atlético de Madrid player arrived at Flamengo with the mission of becoming an important player and maintaining a prominent role in the starting lineup . His adaptation didn't take long," the publication reported.

PRAISE FROM THE SPANISH PRESS

According to the publication, Saúl is experiencing "a second youth" in Brazilian football and has already established himself as a key midfielder. Despite only registering one assist in eight games , he has played a more defensive role in Filipe Luís's team.

In the victory over Juventude, in the Brazilian Championship , Saúl started alongside Allan in midfield and provided the assist for Arrascaeta's goal in the 31st minute of the first half.

FLAMENGO COUNTS ON SAÚL ÑÍGUEZ

Flamengo returns to the field this Thursday (18), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time) , at Maracanã, to face Estudiantes, for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. Saúl Ñíguez should once again be among the starters for the red-black team.

The Rio de Janeiro Court ruled on Tuesday (16) that the organized fan group Jovem Fla is banned from attending stadiums for a period of two years. The decision was made by Judge Renato Guarino Martins, responding to an injunction requested by the Public Ministry of the State of Rio de Janeiro (MP-RJ) after new episodes of violence were recorded in early September.

The Specialized Stadium Policing Battalion (BEPE) released a report describing several incidents involving members of Jovem Fla . Among the incidents were reports of fans jumping train turnstiles , damaging a train station, and walking on the tracks, delaying the train's journey.

The Military Police also reported that members of the organized group were caught surfing on buses in the Cidade de Deus and Niterói regions. Fights were also reported on Avenida Brasil, near São Cristóvão, heading towards Maracanã Stadium.

EPISODES OF VANDALISM AND AGGRESSION

According to the lawsuit, one of the members urinated on a police armored vehicle and posted on social media that he "wanted to cause trouble." A merchant also reported the theft of two cases of beer and two cases of soda from the stadium's North Sector.

BEPE also reported the assault suffered by Vasco fans in a bar on Rua Alfredo Valadão , in Copacabana. The court also sent a letter to the Public Prosecutor's Office with information about new episodes of violence involving other organized fan groups, such as Fúria, Força Jovem do Vasco and Jovem do Botafogo .
