FLAMENGO KEEP UP EXPECTATIONS
One of the project's biggest advances occurred on October 3, when the Flamengo has officially received the "keys" to the Gasologista land. The transaction involved complex negotiations between the club, Rio City Hall and Caixa Econômica Federal, which was the former owner of the site. The acquisition process was prolonged due to the need for consensus on the value and details of the expropriation. With a payment of R$ 146 million, Flamengo secured possession of the land, essential for the construction of the arena.
Negotiation The final decision included an agreement to transfer Certificates of Additional Construction Potential (CEPACs) from Gasometer to other areas of the city, which are managed by Caixa Econômica. According to information from UOL, Rubro-Negro presented an offer of seven million euros (approximately R$45 million) for 60% of the economic rights of Gabriel Brazão, Santos' standout goalkeeper in 2025. Despite the significant amount, the Santos board chose not to advance in the negotiations.
