Forward Deyverson has not played for Cuiabá since April, when he was removed due to alleged indiscipline, but showed that he still follows the team's matches, even training separately from the squad.

After the team's draw against Flamengo on Saturday (06), in the middle of Maracanã, for the 15th round of the Brasileirão, the player commented on a post by striker Derik Lacerda, scorer of the team's goal, on social media.

"You're brave! It's great to score against Flamengo, right?" wrote Deyverson. The athlete was Palmeiras' hero in the 2021 CONMEBOL Libertadores final, against Rubro-Negro, when he came off the bench to score the goal that won Alviverde the continental title.

Derik Lacerda, in the publication , celebrated the fact of scoring a goal at Maracanã.

"Words fail me to express all the feelings I'm feeling, returning to my city and scoring a goal at Maracanã. Not even in my wildest dreams could I imagine this , and today it became reality. We continue working hard and thinking about the next game", wrote Derik.

With the result, Cuiabá reached 14 points in the Brasileirão and, before the other games of the round, they are in 15th place. Flamengo remains in the lead, with 31 points.

Next Saturday, October 26th, Flamengo will have an important challenge for the Brazilian Championship when they host Juventude at Maracanã. While Rubro-Negro has been seeking to consolidate its position in the table, the team from Caxias do Sul faces a tough sequence of games away from home, without achieving a victory for more than two months away from home. Juventude arrives for the clash with a recent record of five games as a visitor, totaling just two draws and three defeats. The team from Rio Grande do Sul's last victory away from home was on August 18, against Athletico-PR, 2-1, at the Ligga Arena.

With Flamengo playing at home, the expectation is for a game in which the Rio team must impose its style, seeking to take advantage of the unstable phase of the adversary. Rubro-Negro has the support of its fans at Maracanã, which has been a difference in home matches. The team is coming off solid results playing at home, and the coach hopes that the home advantage will be an asset to reach three more points and keep the fight for a comfortable position in the standings alive.

 FLAMENGO HAS SCHEME ASSEMBLED

Juventude, on the other hand, is experiencing a period of oscillation, especially in away games. Since the victory over Athletico-PR, the team from Caxias do Sul has not been able to repeat its good performance away from home. In their last five matches away from home, the team faced difficult opponents and accumulated results that raised alarm bells. There were two draws in direct confrontations at the bottom of the table and three defeats against teams fighting for a place at the top.

For o Juventude, the confrontation against Flamengo represents an opportunity to change the landscape of the campaign and reverse the negative sequence away from its domains. The team from Rio Grande do Sul knows that it needs to score to continue in the fight against relegation and, despite the unfavorable scenario, hopes to surprise the team from Rio. The team has a defensive system that seeks to reorganize itself and avoid the mistakes that cost precious points in the last rounds.

A CAST WITH MISSINGS

Juventude's last away victory, against Athletico-PR, was a game in which the team knew how to take advantage of the opponent's mistakes and scored goals at strategic moments . Since then, the team has not been able to repeat its efficiency and has been struggling to score away from home. The mission against Flamengo promises to be complicated, but the players and the committee technicians know that they need to focus on correcting the flaws presented recently to achieve a good result at Maracanã.

In light of this scenario, Flamengo will have the challenge of managing the pressure of favoritism at home and seeking to maintain their good form at home. Juventude, in turn, enters the field to try to break the fast away from home and add important points in the table. The expectation is for a clash in which Rubro-Negro will seek to take advantage of their opponent's weaknesses, while Juventude will try to surprise in order to turn around their campaign away from Caxias do Sul.

After classification by Flamengo for the final of the Copa do Brasil, right-back Wesley took the opportunity to play with his former clubmate, Matheuzinho, who currently plays for Corinthians.

The red-black player commented on Matheuzinho's statement, which promised a "hostile climate" at the Neo Química Arena. Despite the provocation, Wesley made a point of highlighting that there is no disagreement between the two athletes.

"I have nothing against him . I sent him a message. They were saying that we had 'bullshit', but there was nothing like that. www.sofascore.com/pt/jante/wesley/985766" target="_blank">Wesley in an interview with FlaTV this Tuesday (22).

HOSTILE WEATHER IT BECAME A MOTIVATION IN THE MENGÃO CLOTHING ROOM

Matheuzinho's phrase about the adverse atmosphere that Flamengo would face at the Neo Química Arena was used as motivation in the Mais Querido locker room. Playing intelligently and taking advantage of the advantage obtained in the first game (1-0), Flamengo managed to hold on to a goalless draw (0-0) and secured their place in the final of the competition.

Wesley, who played in the match, highlighted that, despite the atmosphere promised by the opponent, the red-black team felt comfortable on the field and knew how to control the match to advance to the big decision.

O Flamengohas won another important problem for the end of the 2024 season. This Tuesday (22), Flamengo officially announced that Midfielder Nico De La Cruz suffered an injury to the hamstring of his right thigh. The problem was identified after tests carried out this week, which puts the player in doubt for the decisive sequence of Mengão, who are still competing for the Brazilian Championship title and are in the final of the Copa do Brasil.

Since his arrival at Rubro-Negro, in January, De La Cruz has faced several injuries. The Uruguayan has already missed the team in nine matches this season due to physical problems, such as knee and thigh injuries, in addition to a viral episode that sidelined him.

Last Sunday (20), during the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil against Corinthians, the midfielder left nine minutes into the second time, which already generated concern. At the time, coach Filipe Luís opted for Alcaraz, the Argentinean has been the immediate replacement when choosing the new coach.

SIMILAR INJURY TO THE PREVIOUS

The current diagnosis is similar to the injury suffered against Bahia, at the end of August, when De La Cruz was out for three weeks. On that occasion, the athlete returned to the field only in the quarter-finals of the Libertadores, in the clash against Peñarol, on September 19th. Now, the expectation is that he will need to go through another recovery period.

DOUBT FOR THE BRAZILIAN CUP FINAL

The two games of the Copa do Brasil final against Atlético-MG are scheduled for the 3rd and 10th of November. The tendency is for De La Cruz to be absent for the first match, with the possibility of being re-evaluated for the return match, depending on his progress during treatment. The absence of the Uruguayan would be a significant loss for Flamengo in their quest for the title.
