The "marriage" between Tite and Flamengo officially came to an end this Monday (30), with the announcement of the coach's dismissal. Thus, the coach ends his time at Rubro-Negro after 70 games, with a 64.7% success rate, in addition to having won a state title and suffering a disappointing elimination in the Libertadores da América.
Tite took over Flamengo on October 9, 2023, after the departure of Jorge Sampaoli. The former Brazilian national team coach signed a contract until the end of 2024, but his departure comes three months ahead of schedule.
During his time in charge of Flamengo, Tite accumulated 70 matches, totaling 41 wins, 13 draws and 16 defeats. Under his management, the team scored 109 goals and conceded 50. He also led the team to win the Campeonato Carioca undefeated.
Despite a promising start, Flamengo's performances under his command of Tite did not please the majority of the fans. The team, which led the Brasileirão for a few rounds, began to oscillate and currently occupies fourth place with 48 points, nine behind leader Botafogo, who has 57.
Elimination in the Libertadores
Three-time Libertadores champion, Flamengo entered the 2024 edition as one of the favorites and top seed of Group E. In the play, Flamengo's number 16 received a pass inside the box, took Vitinho (Botafogo) out with a quick touch and finished with his right foot , beating Hugo Souza, who was defending at the time. The play went viral , and Flamengo fans praised the player's talent, asking for more opportunities for him in the national team.
Signed for R$143 million, Samuel Lino is the most expensive signing in Flamengo 's history. Despite only playing nine games for Flamengo, he has already scored two goals and four assists, in addition to an above-average performance . His strong start caught the attention of Carlo Ancelotti, who called him up for the first time to represent Brazil.
The striker was a substitute in the 3-0 victory over Chile, at Maracanã, but could still make his debut on this FIFA Date . Brazil faces Bolivia on Tuesday (9), at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), in the last round of the Qualifiers.

The Brazilian National Team's first training session for the final round of the World Cup Qualifiers took place this Saturday (6), in Teresópolis, in cold temperatures of 16°C, rain and even fog. Coach Carlo Ancelotti made important changes, including the presence of Lucas Paquetá and Fabrício Bruno , both revealed by Flamengo, in the starting lineup.
The activity took place on a reduced field and without goalkeepers, with the focus already on the match against Bolivia, at the altitude of El Alto, a city located 4,100 meters above sea level . This will be the Italian coach's first time leading a team in such conditions.
During the training session, Ancelotti fielded the team with: Wesley, Gabriel Magalhães, Fabrício Bruno, and Caio Henrique; Bruno Guimarães, Jean Lucas, Andrey Santos, and Lucas Paquetá; Raphinha and Richarlison . During training, the coach also made changes, such as the introduction of Vitinho in Wesley's place.
With the national team already qualified for the World Cup, the Italian coach will be observing the final two rounds. Even so, Ancelotti assured that the group is focused on beating the Bolivians , maintaining the goal of preparing the players for the World Cup.
A definite absence for Brazil is Casemiro. Suspended for his third yellow card, received in the 3-0 victory over Chile, the midfielder was released from training camp and will not participate in training at Granja Comary.
Playing in the second half against Chile, Paquetá scored in less than a minute , helped control the match, and directly contributed to the third goal. The performance made a great impression on Ancelotti, who praised the midfielder's versatility.

After a busy transfer window in which they managed to retain one of their top players, Fulham is preparing a reward for Rodrigo Muniz, a striker who emerged from Flamengo. The player is expected to receive a contract extension with a significant salary increase .
The decision by the board and coach Marco Silva is strategic: to protect the 24-year-old athlete after rejecting offers, including one from Atalanta , who will compete in the Champions League.
