The game between Palmeira and Flamengo was marked by confusion both on and off the pitch. Unfortunately, the fights outside the stadium ended up resulting in the death of a fan from Palmeiras, Gabriela Anelli, 26 years old.

The delegate of the case said in an interview that the accused admitted that he shot the bottle, but that it didn't go in the young woman's direction.
“He assumes he threw the bottle. He doesn't say he went towards Gabriela. He says it was a confrontation between the fans, both were throwing, and that he had, yes, thrown a bottle. The testimonial evidence even describes the clothes he was wearing. At the police station he confessed that he threw the bottle. All the witnesses who were there, who were also hit by bottles, pointed to him as the perpetrator,” as the delegate wrote.
