Last Friday (21), the Mundo Rubro Negro portal held a live broadcast to discuss the possible implementation of a Football Anonymous Society (SAF) in Flamengo. The debate was inspired by the presentation by the opposition group Flamengo Maior of an amendment to the club's statute that aims to ensure that only the majority of members are responsible for approving the adoption of the SAF model, in addition to other measures.

In determining the moment of the debate, Carlos Ferrão revealed that the three candidates for the club's presidency in the December 2024 election have very different positions in relation to the amendment that will give members, through the General Assembly, the exclusive authority to approve or not a SAF.

Ferrão said that opposition candidate Maurício Gomes de Mattos is a signatory of the amendment and fully supports the idea. The candidate supported by Rodolfo Landim, Rodrigo Dunshee de Abranches, refused to sign.

Ferrão stated that the current general and legal vice-president justified his position due to the positions he holds at the club. Candidate Luiz Eduardo Baptista, BAP, current president of the board of directors, has not yet responded whether he supports the amendment or not.

Still on live, Ferrão announced that during the program he received signatures for the amendment from former presidents of Flamengo, márcio Braga and Eduardo Bandeira de Mello. Bandeira, in fact, did not completely rule out running again for the club's top position.

Walter Monteiro stated that the amendment to Flamengo's statute, which deals with the possible transformation of the club into a SAF, aims to avoid a hostile takeover of Rubro-Negro. The text is not intrinsically against the idea of the management model being implemented in the club, but it wants to ensure that only the concrete majority of members give their opinion and determine that any change takes place.

Walter stated: “For the Flamengo becoming SAF, there must be a long and structured internal debate. And there must be a manifest desire from a broad majority. The discussion must have at least 60% of members in the General Assembly and two thirds approving. With this, it would have the support of around 2500 members”. Watch the full MRN Live below.

In a press conference at Ninho do Urubu, goalkeeper Agustín Rossi spoke about his desire to be called up to the Argentina national team , the current world champion. Despite his dream, the goalkeeper made it clear that his priority remains Flamengo.

TOTAL FOCUS ON FLAMENGO

The Argentine stressed that he keeps his feet on the ground and that his main goal is to continue showing consistency for the Rubro-Negro , who have the best defense in the Brasileirão, conceding only 10 goals in 22 games. At Maracanã, the Mais Querido conceded only three goals.

"I'm in no rush, because my job is for Flamengo , day to day, game to game. My biggest focus is to maintain this streak so that the call-up can come. Of course I have that desire, but I don't treat it as a requirement . I'm Flamengo's goalkeeper, I'm responsible for Flamengo. If the call-up comes, I'll welcome it," he added.

Since joining Flamengo in 2023, Rossi has already won four titles. Last season, he was a key player in the undefeated Carioca Championship and also played in the Copa do Brasil victory. In 2025, he maintained his starting spot in the Supercopa do Brasil and the Campeonato Estadual . In total, he has represented Flamengo in 125 official matches, establishing himself as a pillar of the team.
