After the announcement that Gabigol will not renew contract for 2025, Flamengohas already started sounding out possible replacements for the prominent position in the attack. Among the names mentioned is Vitor Roque, a Brazilian prospect currently at Real Betis (ESP) on loan from Barcelona. However, negotiations cooled down due to the high prices demanded by the Catalan club.
Vitor Roque: unfeasible situation
Signed by Barcelona in January 2024 for 74 million euros (approximately R$396 million at the time), the young striker was unable to establish himself in the Spanish team and was loaned to Real Betis. With five goals in 14 games this season, Roque is still seen as a great promise for Brazilian football. However, Barcelona rules out a new loan and intends to recover part of the initial investment, which makes negotiations with Flamengo at the moment.
Other options on the radar
With the difficulties in relation to Vitor Roque, Flamengo is studying other alternatives to reinforce the attack. Two names are under analysis:
Arthur Cabral (26 years old): Brazilian striker who currently defends the Benfica (POR).
Cucho Hernández (25 years old): Colombian player who plays for Columbus Crew (USA) and comes being highlighted in MLS.
Both are considered viable alternatives if the club is unable to move forward with other targets.
Gabigol near Cruzeiro
While Flamengo is organizing itself for 2025, Gabigol has reached an agreement with Cruzeiro. According to the 'GE' portal, negotiations are advanced, with a four-year contract expected and a salary of R$2.5 million per month. The departure of number 99 marks the end of a historic cycle at the Rio club. According to Venê Casagrande, the player would be determined to keep his word with the Minas Gerais club and rule out a possible renewal with Mengão.

Internacional, led by Roger Machado, already has a defined base for the duel this Wednesday (13), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, against Flamengo. The probable Colorado lineup includes: Rochet; Aguirre, Vitão, Juninho and Bernabei; Thiago Maia, Alan Rodríguez, Tabata, Alan Patrick and Wesley; Ricardo Mathias.

One of the pillars of the Flamengo midfield, Erick Pulgar, is out of the match due to recovery from surgery on the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot. He is still on a rehabilitation schedule and has no immediate return date.
