After the inauguration of the new Flamengo Museum, one of the long-promised projects by the Gávea club, this Friday (4th), deputy Pedro Paulo said that he had access to the Rubro Negro project involving the stadium and the revitalization da Gávea.

“It is a very complete project, the first time I see it. All projects made by Flamengo connect a little with the city. Great care was taken to create a good project for Flamengo and a great experience for the fans, for tourists, and that also aligns with the city. This general alignment makes the Gávea project a success. We were with Mayor Eduardo Paes, who thought he was incredible. The project is advancing in the City Hall. We were with Governor Cláudio Castro as well. Different from so many projects that we have seen, this one has everything to be what will happen and stand up”, said the Deputy in an interview with Uol.

The board of Flamengo does not want to stop only at the Museum, the project is to revitalize Gávea to attract tourists who will be important for the development not only of the club, but of the city of Rio de Janeiro as a whole.

After going through financial crises, Flamengo, in 2013, started a professional project management and organization of club finances. Nowadays Mais Querido raises more than R$ 1 billion. Other projects also got off the ground, such as the construction of CT George Helal (Ninho do Urubu), the management of Maracanã, etc.

Now, the ambitious project to revitalize Gávea includes the construction of a hotel and food areas.

Flamengo will face Grêmio in Porto Alegre, but an important absence has already been confirmed: Gabigol, one of the team's main attackers, will not travel with the red-black delegation. The player will remain in Rio de Janeiro, where he will focus on improving his physical form. The decision not to take the striker to the capital of Rio Grande do Sul aims to ensure that he has enough time to dedicate himself to physical preparation at Ninho do Urubu, the club's training center. Although there is no confirmed injury, Flamengo appears to be taking precautions to avoid wear and tear that could compromise the remainder of the season.

This choice may surprise some fans, as Gabigol is one of the team's key players and, generally, an undisputed starter in decisive matches. The absence of Gabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigol, raises questions about how Flamengo should arm the team offensively for the clash. Despite Gabigol's absence, Flamengo has alternatives in attack, with players like Pedro and Bruno Henrique, who can take the lead. The expectation is that the coach will use these options to compensate for the striker's absence.

THE CLUB HAS ANOTHER LOSS

The decision to spare Gabigol may be related to the club's long-term planning. Flamengo faces a marathon of important games, and the physical recovery of its athletes becomes essential to maintain performance in simultaneous competitions. According to information released by Mauro Cezar, Gabigol is focused on improving his physical side. This could mean that the player has been feeling the wear and tear accumulated throughout the season.

Flamengo has adopted a strategy of preserving some of its main players at certain times, aiming to avoid injuries that could sideline them for long periods of time. periods. This preventive measure is common in clubs that compete in several competitions and have a tight schedule. With this, the idea is that the athlete returns in better condition, ready to perform at a higher level in the next matches.

Forward Michael, from Flamengo, took an important step towards his return to the field this Friday (20). The player, who was away from activities due to an injury, participated in activities on the field, signaling an accelerated evolution in his recovery process. Although the initial deadline for his return was two months, the athlete's performance exceeded medical and technical expectations, opening up the possibility of an earlier-than-expected return.

Michael was injured a few weeks ago, in a situation that worried the medical department and Flamengo's technical committee. The injury, which would initially require more extensive treatment, led to the expectation of a prolonged absence. The deadline initially given by the doctors was two months, a period considered reasonable for the player to fully recover and be able to return to his normal activities at the club without the risk of a relapse.

A RETURN BEFORE TIME < /b>

However, over the last few weeks, the player has shown impressive progress, which has generated optimism among Flamengo members. This Friday, Michael held his first training session on the field since his injury, an important milestone in the rehabilitation process. This activity is an indication that the player may be able to return to the starting lineup soon, if there are no new setbacks in his treatment.

The medical department of Flamengo remains cautious, but does not hide its optimism with the attacker's progress. The better-than-expected recovery, both in terms of time and performance, is seen as a positive sign for the club, which is counting on the player at a crucial moment of the season. With several important commitments in sight, Michael's presence would be a valuable reinforcement for the red and black team, which seeks to remain competitive both in the Brazilian Championship and in international competitions.

Behind the Scenes of Mais Querido Agitated as the Presidential Election Approaches

Flamengo's presidential election, scheduled for December, is already causing intense movement behind the scenes at the club. Rodolfo Landim's management saw its leadership lose members who decided to support other groups in the election, and new goodbyes could occur soon. Despite the departures, the current president's group still believes it has enough strength for the dispute.

Rodolfo Landim announced his support for Rodrigo Dunshee, current deputy General and Legal of the club, as its candidate for president. Dunshee has accompanied Landim throughout his two terms, which reinforces confidence in his name for the continuity of his administration. The expectation is that this partnership will solidify the support base among members.

In recent weeks, five vice-presidents left their positions, choosing to support other candidacies. Three of these leaders decided to support Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, while two sided with Maurício Gomes de Mattos. The departures open space for new appointments and restructuring within the board.

Among those who went to Bap's group are Rodrigo Tostes, vice of Finance, and Marcelo Conti, deputy of the Presidency's Office, who left last week. Paulo Cesar Pereira, deputy secretary, had a conversation with Landim last Friday (12) before making his departure official. Landim decided to take on the position of vice of Finance and appointed Diogo Lemes to replace Conti.

Maurício Gomes de Mattos, who was vice of Embassies and Consulates, left the position to launch your own candidacy. Adalberto Ribeiro, vice-president of External Relations, also resigned to support Maurício. These movements indicate a fragmentation of the base allied to Landim, which could influence the formation of new power blocks within the club.

The departures were already expected and new goodbyes can happen. The alliance formed around Landim, previously seen as necessary, is now falling apart amid the current situation. This change of scenario represents the first major rupture since Landim assumed the presidency in January 2019.

Even with the departures, the internal evaluation at Flamengo is positive. The perception is that, despite the defections, the majority of political groups still support Rodrigo Dunshee, which brings confidence to the situation for another election. There is also the possibility of Landim running for president of the Deliberative Council, strengthening his influence in the club.

Groups opposing the Landim administration are discussing their strategies. There are debates about launching your own candidacy or supporting one of the already formed slates. They estimate that they can mobilize around 500 votes, which could be decisive in the election. The articulations remain intense, with many movements still to happen behind the scenes until the December election.
