In a recent interview with drag queen Bianca DellaFancy, posted this Friday (3/10), Luísa Sonza decided to share her feelings and personal experiences. In addition to revealing that she still has feelings for her ex-husband, Whindersson Nunes, the singer spoke openly about an episode of racism that involved her in recent years. The incident occurred in 2018, when lawyer Isabel Macedo accused Luísa of racism after the singer touched her shoulder and asked her to bring a glass of water.

According to the case, Luísa expressed surprise at the realizing that Isabel was not an employee, which led the lawyer to interpret the episode as a case of racism, thus deciding to sue the singer. In the interview, during her participation in the Della Make panel, Luísa Sonza spoke openly about how she reacted to the accusation of racism. She admitted that, initially, she had difficulty understanding the gravity of what had happened, mainly because, as a white person, she had not experienced racial discrimination firsthand.

She recognized the error and expressed deep regret, clarifying that the incident was unintentional. She also highlighted the existence of structural racism in society, emphasizing that everyone contributes to the perpetuation of this system. The singer further shared that she sought to educate herself on the topic of racism after the incident. She sought to learn from black people, such as Negro Zezé and Maíra Azevedo, and read books by renowned authors on the subject, such as Djamila Ribeiro and Silvio de Almeida, the Minister of Human Rights. Luísa emphasized that her request for a glass of water for a black woman was part of a learning process that required time and reflection. She expressed a wish that she had understood these issues before the incident.

The legal case related to the racism case was opened in 2020 and later dismissed on August 16, after a satisfactory agreement was reached between the parties involved . The value of the settlement was not disclosed, as the process was conducted under judicial secrecy. Luísa Sonza's interview stood out for its honesty and the way she addressed the mistake she made. She not only admitted her failure, but also recognized the need to understand and combat structural racism. Her effort to learn from experts and educate herself on the topic demonstrates her commitment to contributing to a more just and egalitarian society.

This episode in Luísa Sonza's life serves as a reminder that racism can manifest itself in subtle and often inadvertent ways, and that education and awareness are essential steps to overcoming these barriers. The interview also highlights the importance of open dialogue and the search for constructive solutions to deal with situations of racial discrimination. Luísa Sonza, by sharing her experience, helps to raise awareness about the topic and promote a broader discussion about the importance of combating racism in all its forms.

Journalist Rachel Sheherazade used her social networks to vent and launch a hint after another edition of Domingo Record. The presenter, who debuted on the network about a month ago, did not hide her dissatisfaction with the criticism regarding the low audience numbers of her attraction.

In a publication, Sheherazade stated that "whoever gets likes on On top of hate, it's not a good thing", suggesting that the same goes for television ratings. The message was perceived as a response to the negative comments that have been circulating since her debut on the Sunday program.

On social media, many internet users understood the presenter's speech as an indirect dig at fellow presenter Celso Portiolli, who runs Domingo Legal on SBT. The talk show is Rachel's main competitor on Sunday afternoons and has maintained a solid second place in ratings, consolidating itself as unbeatable in the time slot.

Sheherazade's statement came shortly after an episode in which she would have mocked her former broadcaster, SBT, where she worked for several years. The gaffe happened precisely on the day of Matheus Ceará's debut in the Sunday magazine, a fact that also generated comments among the public.

DEFEAT IN THE AUDIENCE

Domingo Legal, once again, surpassed Domingo Record with a significant difference. According to the numbers released, Celso Portiolli's program reached the mark of 6 audience points, while Sheherazade's program had an average of around 3.4 points.

The main agenda of the Record edition was the press conference by comedian Matheus Ceará, who visited the new headquarters of the reality show A Fazenda 2024 and revealed some of the cast, but still failed to attract the necessary attention to beat the competition.

Planet Hemp's lead singer, Marcelo D2, expressed criticism of the ostentatious theme present in trap lyrics, during a press conference at Rock in Rio 2024. The singer, who took to the stage with Planet Hemp last Sunday ( 15/9) and will return to the festival on Saturday (21/9) with a rap project, stated that the excessive appreciation of luxury and success in music of the genre can be a "trap" for young artists.

< Marcelo D2 was emphatic in his opinion about the recurring theme in trap: "I think it's all shit. This movement nowadays among younger kids, I think there's something that bothers me a little in this new generation, which is ostentation , I think it's a f*cked up trap." The musician warned that the reality of most favelas is still far from what is portrayed in the lyrics, emphasizing that "the favela has not won, it is still starving, without basic sanitation, without health."
CONTEXTUALIZATION AT ROCK IN RIO

The first day of Rock in Rio this year was dominated by trap, with performances by Brazilian artists such as Orochi, Oruam and Chefin, as well as American rapper Travis Scott. Trap has been gaining more and more space on streaming platforms, often highlighting themes related to luxury and success. However, for Marcelo D2, as long as favelas continue to face challenges such as lack of infrastructure and essential services, the victory speech will be superficial.

IMPORTANCE OF THE COLLECTIVE

D2 also mentioned rapper Emicida as an example of a more collective and less individualistic vision. "The street is us, it's not me", stated D2, reinforcing the idea that the community's true victory will come when all its members benefit, and not just a few. The musician highlighted that individual success does not represent a structural change in the living conditions of the majority.

This past Tuesday (17), singer Luísa Sonza celebrated the nomination of the song "Chico", made in honor of Chico Moedas, her ex-boyfriend, for the award for Best Song in the Portuguese Language at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards. The artist, who was betrayed by the influencer shortly after the release of the song, responded to a fan's comment about "making music for others".

"That Chico will never be forgotten", said an internet user in the page's comments by the artist, who also received the nomination for Best Contemporary Pop Album in the Portuguese Language with Escândalo Íntimo. "Mercy. I love Luísa, but don't make music for any man anymore, no. They don't deserve you", wrote another.

"Do you still think that songs are made for other people? I'm the one nominated for a Grammy me and nothing anyone says or does will take away the pride I have in having made this song! I genuinely love it and I believe this is one of, if not the best song I've ever made", replied Luísa Sonza.

The singer also added: "As I've said since 'Penhasco', I can't stop writing and blocking the creativity of the moment by someone else, or not releasing it because of a third party, the song in the end will always be about me and my feelings, and I swear that I think this is my greatest asset and is one of the reasons for so much success, I am visceral."

Last Saturday, Chico Moedas enjoyed the shows at Rock in Rio and denied the possibility of checking out Luísa's performance, with whom he had a relationship in 2023, who will open the Palco Mundo on the last day of the event: "That's crazy. I wouldn't see it, I think it's unnecessary, there's no reason", he replied.
